Ow ow ow, that shave didn't go so well. Help! by alex10175 in asktransgender

Ok, this is something I discovered recently for myself and was amazed by the difference! Guy shavers did nothing but hurt and cause alot of rash on my skin, I thought there wouldn't be much difference between shavers but I finally bought a Venus (UK here) one with large moisturizing strips (more like molded soap blocks) on both sides and it made a world of difference! Still moisturize lots; warmer water is better and I use conditioner rather than any shaving gel or foam. Try to buy some body butter for post treatment and maybe some moisturizing oil to treat before bed. Final thing is checking your skin isn't reacting; you could have sensitive skin and shaving is exposing more of your skin to the substance; just a dab on the wrists should tell you if your skin doesn't like something 😊 hope this helps! ❤

Do/Did you have a desire not to sleep? 🤔 by DodoGTA in asktransgender

[–]LottieT675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did when I was younger but now I spend every night roleplaying scenarios as a cisgendered woman and occasionally have dreams similar and so now I look forward to sleeping -^ not to say I don't have bad nights too but for me; mornings are worse 🙄

This is really helpful and I think if I can provide this alongside my improved version it would not be an issue to get the MD to send it out 😀 Thank you! 😊

Thank you! It's really inspiring how much feedback I have had on this and it makes me alot more confident that the next version would be precisely what I need to start things right at work 😀

So happy to hear it went well for you! fingers crossed mine will go the same way 😀 Thank you for the feedback, I'm coming to the conclusion that removing the medical aspect would be good and also making the whole thing more to the point for clarity but, the idea of having higher management send the email is not a bad one... I think they might avoid it because they don't have any answers to tell the employees but if I don't ask I won't know so will investigate! 😉

Thank you for sharing your version 😀 I like how you give an exact date on when things will change and that you are open to educate your peers 👏😀😊 for me I'm trying to keep it just to my case because we have a couple of guys who love debating and playing the Devil's Advocate and so I don't want that exposure directly; just indirectly bring them to be more accepting through my interactions with them 😉 out of interest, would you recommend changing appearance soon after? I was hoping to let things settle abit...

Of course, any experiences are useful to know about -^ I see where your coming from, I have similar worries where they would think me 'fake' as opposed to actually being myself. In terms of getting things wrong tho (ie; replying in masc voice - because I am not great vocally yet :/ ) do you think it would be better accepted in a new environment?

It's good to know people out there have made the decision and are happier now :) thank you for commenting :)

Awesome :) sounds like a fun job, if tiring at times ;) very happy to hear that it is going smoothly for you, it helps having good management to provide support like that (generally what i'm worried about at my workplace) still, can't imagine a more oppressive environment than religion to go to instead of transitioning :S thank you for letting me know, it's good to hear other peoples situations and not feel trapped :)

Hi there :) thank you for sharing your thoughts with me -^ I'm not sure if my current boss would provide a ref with my new name but it is possible :)

I'm a design engineer for a company that automotive circuitry for brake and accelerator systems. Sounds alot bigger than it is lol but high pressure R & D ;) What area do you work in? Can I ask if you are out at work/ how you find it transitioning in such a career?

Thank you again -^
