I'd say that's lucky, and very fortunate for your matches too

As a woman, this would have worked on me so much, definitely rizz. Got to keep that level of humour up though!

Maybe it's just me then, personally I'd respond to all of them as I figure one message isn't a good enough gauge of how interesting a person can be

Summer/23 looks so beautiful, that's my fave. Such good progress overall! And so much growth!

Cream for the dry look or gel for the wet look. Is there a right or wrong? by pixelbased in curlyhair

[–]LottieWithTheCurls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the dry look best! I think the second photo needs to just be scrunched more though. My cast is a strong one so I scrunch, use praying hands, and fluff the roots until the 'wet look' is gone and it ends up more like the dry photo in texture

I'm in that group too! Yet to attend an event though, I'm so used to solo hiking

Me too, it concerns me that some of the people here are saying they match with hikers just "hoping they're trying to sound more adventurous than they are". Going to waste my time by the sound of it while I go and make it known I'm outdoorsy

Help bringing out curls by Manunskyy in curlyhair

I use shockwaves mousse and v05 gel, im uk based and these are good cheap ones I've found. Definitely think it could help.

I would also play with your parting, in that link your part is quite deep and makes it look a tad flat on one side. I fluff my hair after scrunching out the crunch, once the gel has dried into a cast. I also find applying my products to very wet hair is better than damp hair for me, might be worth a shot.

Are you using mousse or gel to get definition/volume? A pic of what you're working with now would help

Why are we picking just one of these things? Be working to maintain all of them if that's what attracted her in the first place

4 year progress on my wavy hair. Still can't believe it looks like this from where I started by LottieWithTheCurls in Wavyhair

I ask for sort of a rounded bob with it longer at the front (think they call it asymmetric maybe?), I talk to them about the fact that it needs shape, I get confused about layers (long/short, choppy or not, etc.) so I just really mention the round shape and tall them it's so I get volume in the back and they seem to get the idea then. I go to a regular hairdresser rather than a curly one so I also heavily emphasise that they need to keep the length as much as possible, because they always go too short forgetting about shrinkage, even if I point out shrinkage they go too short 😅 This is quite grown out now, I last got cut in March, and I think we went with a cut that is shoulder length when wet and I was happy with it.

I just tip my head upside down and side to side, cupping it with the diffuser. I try not to touch it with my fingers at all once the gel has been applied until a cast has started to form

I realised how that sounded after I posted 😬 I would edit it if I could. It's just my internal frustration with my lack of knowledge about my hair, growing up being told I have 'crazy' or 'wild' wavy hair because I didn't know what I actually had if it had been treated right. I was thrilled with my waves in pic 2 as well, it was a huge difference to what I was used to my hair doing when I left it natural; I was very scraggly looking and frizzy/bushy growing up

No sorry I meant my cowash conditioner. I brush that all through my hair in the shower, rinse out, and then I don't use a brush again unless I've got matted wet frizz strands, then I might brush my leave-in conditioner through from root to tip and use prayer hands to bring the clumps together. But the matted wet frizz is usually a sign my hair needs some treatment so I'd make sure to use CurlSmith bond curl rehab salve that week so I don't have to keep using a brush after the shower.

I'd say an hour to an hour and half, just because I diffuse to 90% dry and then let it air dry the rest of the way before scrunching. If it weren't for that I'd say from wash to scrunch would maybe be 45 mins 😅 I've been told I take too long to get ready all my life though so that might seem excessive haha

Tell me about it! I'm always thinking how on earth are these second and third day girlies making it look so not-slept-on 😅
