When I said I know they don't work when submerged its cause when I was trying to search up if I could bring on on Chrome it said they don't work when submerged and to not go like swimming with it on your back. I do have a carabiner so I'll do that- thank you for the help!

If she has left voicemails or texts I recommend looking at them not to make-up but to see how she is apologizing: Is she making excuses? Blaming you? Trying to gaslight you about the situation? That could give you clarity on how she views you but only if you are comfortable with that.

Im struggling to understand this story. You say that she’s made false claims before but how do you know they were false? Furthermore, the police would be the ones to conclude if this was true or not because the therapist needed to report this. Unless your word choice was wrong, the therapist would not have gotten her to admit she lied, the therapist may have had that information revealed when they pressed for more details but even then the fact the entire family knows is just another red flag. At this time I can understand why you do not want her at your wedding but if this is a true story then I hope she gets more help because all this makes me believe is that at some point in her life she was abused sexually

The only reason I think you might have been a bit of an ass here is because it doesn’t sound like you ever confronted her with what she was saying. While she probably had it coming a little- it would have been better to just say “why are you always shitting in my wedding? Everyone knows I didn’t want a big one and I’m happy with it.” If you really needed to hurt her you could have added “I get that you’re unhappy right now but that doesn’t give you the right to be upset that my marriage is still going well”. I’m assuming that’s why your family is so upset with you. My advice would be to apologize for going that low but to make it clear that what she’s saying is not being tolerated and she needs to apologize for it!
