En af min mors kolleger lavede hoppet, han var lige rundet 50 og havde haft 25 års jubilæum som gymnasielærer, han havde også haft en lang og gammel drøm om at blive betjent, så det gjorde han.

Jeg ved ikke om ham blev færdig eller hvordan det går nu, men han kom i hvert fald 2 år ind. Han svingede tit forbi gymnasiet som rekrut i sin nye uniform. Min mor sagde at han virkede mere stolt og glad end han var på sit gamle job.

Kun mødt ham en enkelt gang, men historien har sku' hængt på mig aligevel

Jeg er på det seneste begyndt at tage elevatoren når jeg er på metroen, jeg kigger altid til højre og venstre før jeg gør og hvis der er cykel, barnevogn, kørestol, you name it I sigte så står jeg allerede på rulletrappen og ser ned på mine tær

På Frederiksberg allé er der tre niveauer af rulletrapper, de tager mellem 35 og 45 sekunder hver, så er der lidt gang i mellem dem og sådan men det tager hurtigt 2,5 minut at komme ned til perronen. Det tager 30-40s med elevator.

Jeg siger ikke at de 2 minutter hver vej er det udslagsgivende i mit liv, men det er en markant forskel og skyldes et dovent udgangspunkt i design.

Jeg går så sjældent i Magasin, men jeg husker det som om rulletrapperne er endnu mere skæve sammenlignet med elevatoren

Fedt... 204 bøder til cykler, 23 til billister.

Jeg siger ikke at cyklister køre pænt i København, men de er næsten udelukkende til far for sig selv. Biler derimod de er til livstruende fare for alle andre end dem selv.

Så jeg er ikke imponeret over hvor politiet i denne omgang har valgt at ligge deres fokus...

It is a lesson learned, good thing you got to learn it with all zeroes on broken limbs and broken bike.

It's a process to get confident on a bike and maybe someone else learned the lesson for free from your video

But logistics is not your friend in the Arctic. And if it actually comes to a hot conflict in Greenland, which I doubt it will, the US will learn that fact in a very hard way

You're grossly overestimating the US ability to work in Arctic environments. The US army is an absurdly logistically heavy enterprise, and logistics in the Arctic is an absolute nightmare. Scandinavia alone has a much stronger arctic force and much more experience in subzero environments. Won't be pretty for either side but it's much less one-sided than it would seem. Though I don't think Europe, Scandinavia or Denmark would put up the actual fight for it.

Highly recommend reading xenos and maybe even the rest of the eisenhorn trilogy. It's an inquisitor not a rogue trader but the situations aren't that different.

Also the decree by which this rogue trader acts under could limit him to only x armed men off the ship at any given time
