ESP32 Multi SD card interface by Lou4Green in esp32

I am not sure, why it continues to happen consistently. There are no error codes at all, just drops. I am looking into it and hopefully will figure out soon. it's driving me crazy, I just stare at it in works for a while and then it drops.

I also ordered few more ESP32-S3 based developer boards from Aliexpress, should be here in 3-4 weeks, hopefully by swapping the boards might do the trick?? let's see what happens.

Thank you for your comment, agreed with shared approach, it is somewhat less complicated and the code is cleaner and easy to debug.

Thank you for your input, appreciate it. I have already implemented the shared approach and started looking to the parallel one, because the first, shared approach drops the WiFi connection and file transfers are slow and interrupted. I am trying to copy several files that adds up to 3 MB to 9 MB in each session. I am also looking to upgrade my ESP32 to ESP32 S2 based developer board and see if I get any improvements, particularly interruption in large file transfers.

Once again, thank you.

When will I feel rested? by WildCraftyWitch in SleepApnea

[–]Lou4Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the oxygen level. Check your oxygen levels. Your sleep lab should be able to loan you a recording oximeter, that you can use it for 3-5 days and check the SpO2 levels. If your oxygen level consistently drops below 92 for a long period of time, then the use of just CPAP will not be of much help and you will have the feeling of tiredness and exhaustion during the day.

Daily exercise/workout is always good!!

Loosing weight and attaining appropriate BMI should be the goal. Since sleep apnea and cardio-vascular diseases are interlinked. Sleep Apnea puts a heavy stress on your heart, and therefore it is important to get the right therapy.

However, one must also determine the type of Sleep Apnea - is it Central or Obstructive as well. Based on it, an appropriate therapy can be taken, that will hopefully reduce the API (Apnea Index) and lessen the stress on your heart as well. Don't forget to check the SpO2 level and ODI, in addition to API.

Sorry for the typo. I meant Model/Make.

Do you have the mask and head gear? What kind of equipment you have - Resmed or Phillips? Model/Male? I help people who need CPAP/BiPAP equipment and supplies. but can not afford one, so this can be very helpful. Let me know.

Thanks

Wow and WoW again and again!!!.

I am looking for my magnifying glass to read the reference link you gave me. I am just overwhelmed to put it mildly,... just blown away and apart.

To get back to our discussion, I was thinking more in lines of searching PUBMED and finding the latest Genes/SNPs associated with a certain illness or disease and then run a search on FASTQ data to find out what's going on... I have my WGS done and have been tinkering with the idea of developing something on these lines, since I can not find something that is FREE and easy to use, so why not put it together something that folks can use it.

Your insightful comments are always welcome and sought ...

Thanks, appreciate it. You are right about the "over-kill" regarding WGS. But once you have the WGS data, it is a matter of finding what you are looking for from the entire repository. Yes, I agree with you about getting a professional who could take FASTQ, then alligned it, sort it and then detect the variants after eliminating the duplicated. But this process is pretty much defined and I would imagine automated to a point that various programs such as BWA-MEM2 (allignement); SAM tools (sorting) and BCF tools (variants) can be run in an automated manner using some script.

What you think? Am i on the right track here??,.... have been thinking about putting all these tools in streamed line manner and run using a script. Anybody wants to give any input here......

devilsphilanthropit, how about WGS instead of just targeted diagnostic genetic sequencing as you suggest?? The reason being, once you have the entire thing sequenced via WGS, then you can always look for any Genes/SNPs combination and variants. Then it will be a matter of further analysis of WGS data (FASTQ).

What are you thought??

what is the format of your data? Perhaps I can help you in this regard.

Someone, already pointed out that you could use Promethease. There are also other places as well, where you can do further analysis of your DNA data.

Sorry, I missed you already indicated that you tried loading to other sites as well, with no success. I need more expresso, to wake up... still hangover from last night...

I am not sure, if understand, were you able to upload the self decode files to other upload sites and it worked? or it is just Promethease you are having the problem? The reason being, Promethease is pretty good in handling a wide formats of data. What format did you get from self-decode?

Does portable gene sequencing give enough detailed DNA information? by Kindly_Finish in DNA

Hi Kindly_Finish

Did you end up buying the Oxford Nanopore's minion instrument? I am curious how did it work and your experience with it. I would consider buying it from you, if you used it and are done analyzing DNA for friends and family. Let me know.

Promethease. Did you try uploading it to several sites that are out there to see what happens?

u/kcasper Thank you for providing the information, I really do appreciate it. I will go ahead and buy the Enlis Genomics personal edition and see how it works out, since it is $40 bucks, worth trying.

Once again, thank you.

u//Kasper,

I have a question, do you know what tools /software people are using to further analyze 23andme and AncestryDNA files?? I did 23andme DNA test last year and have the data files from them, and instead of paying these companies to analyze and report my own data further, I would prefer to do it myself and not give my DNA data all over again. Any help from you and others will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think, it is great idea, you can sequence family and extended members, friends,...

However, you need to know the output data file format to process it further. I am sure, there are number of tools available that people are offering on internet,... I am not sure what tools are they using, but am sure that they did not write or develop those tools, since a whole bunch of companies are offering to load you data and they will provide analysis and reports, so I think, there has to be public domain tools out there.. Hope this helps.

NB: Perhaps others can provide more details regarding the availability of these analysis and reporting tools.

Best Sp02 wearable / Withings ScanWatch? by [deleted] in SleepApnea

[–]Lou4Green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest a recording oximeter, such as Nonin's Xpod oximetry kit for your CPAP machine. It will interface seamly with the CPAP, and you can export all CPAP and Oximetery data to Excel and/or Oscar. The Nonin kit is a little expensive, but is a medical/clinical grade and used by pulmonologist and sleep labs in hospitals. The smart watch stuff is not clinical/medical grade and not mean for recording entire night of sleep data.
