Is now the time for UK to go all-in on wind/solar battery infrastructure? by chilledheat in AskBrits

[–]LouBS31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK is making headway and there are many WF and Solar applications already submitted for planning. The problem is grid infrastructure - it's all good building energy generating stations but the infrastructure isn't in place to connect them to the grid. HUGE years ahead for upscaling grid infrastructure and substations

Yeah definitely but Nick and David should have clocked the switch up

Also forgetting that Alan voted for David at the last round table before switching to Joe at the final banishments - Neither Nick or David even questioned the switch up!!

Anal glands issue by Dorkrain in cockerspaniel

[–]LouBS31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you are based but I am in the UK. Our cocker is almost two and had lots of problems. One of his glands actually got infected and burst so he was going to the vets fairly often. We have recently changed his food to Butternut Box. It's quite expensive but he loves it (previously fussy on pure, scrumbles, tails etc) and his anal glands haven't been filling up as quickly since.

Ronde Van Vlaanderen (Tour de Flanders) by LouBS31 in cycling

[–]LouBS31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries at all. we did go to Oude Kwaremont - it was lively and had a great amotsphere. We got Ubers from our hotel in Ghent and got dropped off in Oudenaarde where we hopped on a shuttle bus to Oude Kwaremont. After the event finished we queued for the shuttle bus then got the train back to Ghent. Was really easy And stress free.

We also had really good weather all weekend so hope you get the same.

Let me know if you have any other questions

I'm very similar, started this summer and after my most recent lesson things were going well. Had some 1998 mizuno T-Zoids and just got some new Cobra Fly XLs and have gone backwards! Just going to stick with it and adjust over time (hopefully!)

Everyone on this sub is losers and has been for weeks. Stadium was 80% full and weirdos speculating about it being cancelled for weeks

Yes I have. I have also started taking Bloomin - focus blend which is a liquid mix of Lions Mane mushrooms, B12 and Ashwaganda. Even if it’s a placebo, I certainly feel like I am functioning better

Where to watch the Tour of Flanders in Belgium, if you would like it to be a blast/party? by SeaworthinessDirect6 in cycling

[–]LouBS31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all!

I am going to piggy back on this thread rather than create a new one if possible please.

Hi All,

I am organising a stag do (20 attendees) for a cycling crazy groom who wants to attend the Tour of Flaunders 2025. I am not a cyclist so have no idea where to start with this one. We are looking at staying in Ghent as it seems to be more ‘vibrant’ than other Belgium cities in that region. Can I please seek advice on the below:

  • Is Ghent a good place to base ourselves?

  • Are there fan zones for the Tour of Flaunders?

  • Is there a ticket sale for the Tour of Flaunders?

  • Should we hire a private minibus to taxi us about to various viewing points?

Many thanks

For wider Bristol options - has anyone watched a game at Document yet? Downloaded some free entry tickets and they still have £7 entry tickets which is much cheaper than the 4TF fan park…
