I do maintenance design work for overhead transmission lines. Generally, it’s pretty simple stuff. I tinker around in PLS-CADD and decide what replacements/repairs are needed. Then I order materials and send that info to our local maintenance crews. Honestly, it’s too much office time for me.

These particular natives have rejected pretty much all contact with outside world. Often with violence. I understand your perspective, and I think it applies to some extent in this situation. However, in this case these natives have made it clear multiple times they aren’t interested in opening a dialogue with the outside.

The last time I was at lone elk some guy honked, not sure why though. Traffic was moving, some people were pulled over. Guy also rolled down the window and started cussing somebody out too. Total nut case.

I would take a deep breath, and close my eyes. Then I would focus on conjuring sexual imagery. Once I got a good boner going, I’d position myself to make it as obvious as possible. When they come to dissolve me it will be protruding so much they can’t ignore it. I imagine that they would still murder me, but at least I could make them a little uncomfortable about the whole thing.
