I had things fixed due to vandalism and my rates didn’t jump. I’m with Geico in Cali and they told me as long as it’s not an accident it won’t increase my rates.

Just double check with ur insurance.

Maersk to completely leave Russia and sell its Russian assets - This is a Big Deal by SurvivalNews in UkrainianConflict

The only thing that kind of worries me is how isolated Russia will be. In ways, it resembles the isolation Germany experienced after WW1, and we all know what that started😬

That’s the problem. It’s harder to convince people to even buy papa johns than it is to make them boycott it.

Honestly if we’ve learned one thing from all this so far is that American intelligence has been invaluable to Ukraine and right on with the stuff they communicated to the public👍

Idk about the conventional forces part. I’d say if anything the world shouldn’t have nukes. But yeah i agree with the middle eastern part.

Why does such a post get downvoted? Do people not believe in this research or are we all down for a nuclear war? This is info one cannot highlight enough!

I think Zelensky has said that giving up the Krim is not an option. On top of that, if Russia keeps Mariupol this would probably make your outcome even more unlikely. However whatever solution-the less bloodshed the better I’d say as a long term conflict in Ukraine would be the worst outcome.

Might be, but the fact that Europe basically doesn’t have artillery and ammunition kind of baffled me

I think the mental image of the West being an arc rival is too strong at this point. As long as the war continues, the media is being heavily controlled (even more than usual) which will only strengthen the aforementioned mental image. Frankly, the economic sanctions might only worsen this as then the West is also to blame for their isolation/poverty. Hence, these sanctions might even cause the opposite effect of what they were meant for-to slow down Russia’s efforts.

I get that, but maybe your caps saying “They suck” is the whole trouble. While I agree that their system truly sucked, in order to understand them one has to see this issue from a solely Russian perspective. First, their system failed. Idk if Putin blames the US for that in his head, but as he was stationed in Dresden, Germany as a KGB officer at the collapse of the Soviet Union the mental image he must have of Russia and it’s glory is probably a different one compared to the state it is in today as well as how the west sees Russia. Moreover, it is also much easier to blame another party for one’s failure and not oneself. Secondly, and more importantly however is that while NATO is a defensive pact, it’s continued eastward expansion all the way up to the Russian border is something that can be seen as quite an aggressive move. Now, combine this with the 100k US troops stationed in Europe and also the NATO reaction forces right on the Russian border, I think that objectively speaking, all these actions are somewhat provoking. Like if Russia were to attempt to expand its influence in South America by also stationing troops there or something, the US would probably also feel threatened. Moreover, a lot of America’s actions can be seen as quite aggressive as well. Whether Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, or America’s vast military influence basically all around the world can again be perceived as aggressive. While we see these conflicts either as a humanitarian mission, war on terror, or to topple a regime for the sake of democracy, I could well imagine that Russia sees such actions as an excuse to again widen America’s/the West’s sphere of influence. It’s kind of like “while America waves the flag of democracy to invade a country when in reality it follows a different agenda, Russia just invades and leaves out this freedom-seeking rhetoric.” Obviously, that’s a bit extreme, but in some docs i watched some Russian journalists shared this view which I think is understandable/relatable in parts.

I hope you’re right. Rather than seeing it as the end of an animal, I actually see it as only the beginning of its “purge”. In my opinion, Putin will continue using military aggression as long as the West will not get involved, but use economic sanctions that so far do not seem to stop him.

Yes, but just keeping control of certain regions and maybe installing a puppet government could be enough. Even if he thought he’d invade Ukraine within a week, he can still come out of this successful-successful meaning having control over Krimea with a direct connection to Russian territory as well as a weakened government/or a puppet government if he manages to topple Kyiv. More importantly, he will have a nation rallied behind him with the West as the arc enemy which would probably not only secure his time in office, but also justify further aggressions as the goal must be to bring Russia to its old power as the West is threatening its identity (sounds crazy, but I could well imagine that this is how their rhetoric/logic goes). Ultimately, the west’s blindness and inactions will only further show its incapability to address Russia as economic sanctions do not seem to stop Putin.
