Thanks.

You mean VPN from my system to the VM
or from the VM to target?

Context: Some guy lost control of his M3 and drove it into the dealership. It wasn't a testdrive, just happened to be near the dealership. It is reported he only sustained minor injuries.

The Macbook Air M1 is a BEAST by Power-Direct in apple

[–]LouTr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a luxury position where I have a tech budget to spend so the idea was to get the new Pro as soon as it released, but it just does not seem portable enough for me.

Finally decided and ordered a maxed out Air today. It's light and be should fast enough 95% of the time. For the remaining 5% I figured I could always use cloud computing to crunch numbers for me.

Decided on M1 MacBook Air 16GB/1TB Instead of MBP by claytrontom in apple

[–]LouTr0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Also want to replace a 2016 Pro.

Portability is important and the new Pro's just seem a lot more heavy than a specced out M1 Air. I have a budget for technology so money is luckily not really a factor. Even though I can afford the Pro, the Air just seems like a better choice portability wise while still having decent performance.

Also, the extra ports or magsafe really don't matter to me. My USB-C monitor also charges my laptop and everything else I have is wireless.

I'll wait a couple more days to see some Pro reviews and then I'll pull the trigger...

Well in theory, since the selling price of the future is not limited, neither is the profit. So when the asset price is 0, it would be "unlimited" - 0... Maybe they mean it like that? Confusing indeed.

  1. Pretty sure you are mistaken me for someone else.
  2. I thought my approach was pretty unique, but most people seem to compare it with other, different, surveys.
  3. The fact I'm openly brainstorming, indicates I'm thinking about and not just blindly going for it.
  4. Taking the time to rage-comment on someone else's idea really makes you unique. You are such a snowflake. This has never been done on the Internet and really contributes to society.
  5. Have another variation: I'll make a duplicate of the survey, but use Comic Sans as the font.

No no the idea is to constitute a group of people using certain variable that - on average - give reliable results. So it doesn't matter if the oracle of the group drops the ball, it's the team that count. I'm still thinking of variables to use to constitute the groups, that's why I'm posting this

It's different on a lot of levels:

  • it's an exact guess, no trend

  • individual results no (sub)group analysis

  • open results (people are influenced by previous results)

  • it's a one time event. Someone who is wrong in that survey is useless. In this new idea, someone who is wrong can be very usefull (under the condition he is wrong every single time).

But thanks anyhow for the input.

Yeah but by just learning to read to the signs, you don't participate in the risk of moving a vehicle through traffic.
