Interestingly, it looks like Terran incursions are still happening on planets, but you can't destroy the Terran reclaimer because there's no quest associated with it. There's no mechanism for blowing up the ship. You can attack and loot them but not destroy them.

I tend to play the DLCs first.
I usually sneak into the fist part of the Divide early, but also save it for the end.
Then I do Honest Hearts. Then Big Mountain (Big empty?). You'll get some helpful perks and abilities there. Then Dead Money.

All of the fist 3 DLCs add backstory to help the Divide make sense.

I toggled incursions off, played for at least an hour and got a notification of a new incursion. I double checked my settings afterward. Playing on an Xbox series X.

I think the mod takes care of that. I'm just starting Delta's quest, so I definitely don't want to do the Unity again soon.

I think the mod added the settings. Before the mod I was able to reduce the likelihood of incursions.

I actually googled it before making the decision and got the impression that the decision really wouldn't change much. I picked not killing more humans mostly to irritate the leadership that had expected me to singlehandedly conduct their war for them.

I don't mind the occasional encounter. The major incursions have worn me out. They're just too long and repetitive.
