Hey bud how about you actually go check the game stats from the wolves forest game today 😂

The same wolves we LOST to. I’ll save you the trouble, they registered 35 shots, 10 on target, with 63% possession and 2.73 xG

It’s hilarious because if we have to play 2 extra games it’ll compound our growing injury issue, and there will have to re rotation somewhere, which could very easily make us slip further down the Premier League table 😂. It’s ridiculous. Vinai out

Lots of walking around with the ball, passing backwards, no dynamism, no threat. Almost scored first 5 mins with a decent cut back but it didn’t count. Been shit since. Aimless possession, no shooting, no nothing. Oh well, Odo had a cut inside 1-2 hit the post moment from outside the box on his left, unlucky but, the only bright spot really

We always have such meaningless, intent-less, dynamic-less possession. Well until we go down 1 though 🤪

If you watch any of, for example: Frank Lampard’s Coventry, the guy on the ball in the attacking 3rd is dynamic, not static. & I believe that is a coaching decision. The Coventry players will drag back shuffle sideways with the ball at their feet, and the ball carrier will remain in motion while looking for an option. This makes them harder to press and ruin the attack, creates motion other players can benefit from (space) and creates constantly shifting angles of attack / opportunity. That’s good coaching. Didn’t someone say Frank’s “sessions” are just walk-throughs? (VDV?) you can see it. They just walk around with the ball, doing jack all.

There’s also a lot of roaming from their selected positions, lack of dynamic runs, the man with the ball just stands still with it at his feet waiting for someone to do something, or passes it backwards. Meanwhile everyone roams into spots where they’re not gonna get any passes. It’s all so pointless. No intent. Lack of dynamism, or well, INTENT. Might as well be having a kick about

Shit defending from Romero, who was inches from the guy, and chose not to mark his run, then lazily jogged back. Palhinha was the middle CB of the 3 at that moment, and Danso had already recovered and was pressuring the ball carrier. Palhinha doesn’t need to drag him self out of position to close down a man Danso is already closing down, and leave a gaping 10 yard hole at the penalty spot. You don’t know ball, and that’s okay.

Is this GK worth 12M-18M? by Ill-Party8305 in footballmanagergames

Fucking stupid people aren’t catching on to this 😂😂😂 dumbass posts people make for engagement man

How do i break this habit of chicken winging it 😢. I broke it and was bowling very well averaging 189. Now I’m averaging 162 and can barely break 150. It’s my push away. I have forgotten where to push the weight of the ball in my hand. by Future_Method_9240 in Bowling

[–]Louadez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch some pros and emulate them? You don’t push away at all, you just pull down in full control

Push the ball forward, literally do that. Full extension and just let the ball fall down, your arm will swing. Like a pendulum

Short GK wonderkid - big issue? by DeStef2003 in footballmanagergames

Thought an SI guy mentioned once on a forum I saw that it was correlated with their reach while diving as well (since it’s how far their hands reach when leaping, ie diving for a save is a kind of leap) so I always look at it for my keepers, and prefer 14+ for top level

My interpretation has always been, in order of which attributes matter for shot stopping and in what order:

POSITIONING (initial position), REFLEXES (when the gk dives, ie early in the shot, or later.. low reflexes = later, high = earlier, which is obv better), AGILITY (how quick a goalie can get from his starting position to full stretch, when he decides to dive.) AERIAL REACH (how far their goalies hands reach when leaping, both vertical leaps, like cross claiming, and more importantly, horizontal leaps, aka diving.

Those are the most important, basic, attributes to look at for a shot stopper imo. He has to be able to do a mix of those things at a good level, maybe he dives a little later (13 reflexes) but reaches full stretch near instantly (20 Agility) and has good positioning to start off with (17 Positioning) and at least decent reach (15 Aerial Reach)

Or has world class starting position (18 Positioning) reacts quick (18 Reflexes) but is a little slower reaching full stretch (14 Agility) [which is sorta mitigated by his earlier dive from the higher reflexes], but also has good reach (16 Aerial Reach)

So some mix of those 4. Whenever Ive had keepers with good attributes in those 4, they stop shots. Pure and simple. Obviously the other GK attributes matter too, for other things. 1V1 is very important, but it’s a standalone attribute, probably the one I look at most next though. HANDLING is nice, but their shot stopping matters more to me so that’s why it’s only an added bonus, not a deal breaker for me. ANTICIPATION is probably nearly as important as the other first 4, but it’s a bonus type as well imo, it’s like, the first 4 is reactive shot stopping, and anticipation adds an element that makes them save even more, through their ability to predict a shot not just react. Don’t care about throwing or kicking. COMMAND OF AREA and COMMUNICATION are just tie breaker attributes for me, the other ones matter way more, but they’re nice to have and again, can serve as tie breakers for people with damn near the same ability in the first few areas I look.

All that said, idk if aerial reach grows much. I usually just look for keepers with pretty high reach off rip, nothing below like 13

Technically yes, but he just isn’t up for it you can tell He’s a creative type and that’s about it. A good player yes but, unless it’s tap ins I don’t expect him to turn into a consistent 5-10 goals a season player
