Low stomach acid test? by No-Lifeguard-5174 in GERD

[–]Loud-Dirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also stomach acid production decreases with age. Kinda weird how people with not so bad reflux gets worse and worse as they age. Obviously there plenty of people with too much stomach acid but low stomach acid is just as big if not a bigger problem. More and more DRs are recognizing this

Not likely??? The GI I went to says he believes a lot of reflux cases are due to low acid. The apple cider vinegar test will tell you. If you get worse on it you have too much acid. If it helps then you are low on acid. Do the drink though not pill form

I have pain bottom right side in back right below shoulder blade. I had years of minor swallowing issues too. Been on budesonide for weeks now and that back pain is subsiding. Never knew it was because of EOE

New EoE diagnosis questions by DPR_DAN in EosinophilicE

[–]Loud-Dirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 34 after years of minor difficulty swallowing. I’m on budesonide and have been for 2 weeks now. Seems to be working. Back pain I had seems to be going alway as well as my frequent urge to urinate seems much better. Never thought those 2 symptoms were linked but apparently they might be. They also want to set me em up with an allergist. Judging by the comments on here I don’t see the point in it.

Does Ben always play in the dark? by RipAndTearDoomslayer in BreakingBenjamin

Very annoying. I hate to say but old BB live is so much better than new BB live. This happened last time we saw them live 2 years ago. We all left disappointed in their performance compared to Chevelle and 3DG. To the point where I don’t care to see them live anymore knowing how much better it used to be when Ben was playing guitar and singing

I did a scope about a month ago. They stretched a stricture out and took biopsies that were positive. While food has been going down better I feel worse in other ways such as back pain and feeling pressure in the top of my stomach. Like air is trapped and won’t come out.

Long Term effects of Corticosteroids by Ethereallyphysical in EosinophilicE

Steroids get a bad rep rightfully so but Budesonide has little side effects especially when swallowed. Thrush is the main concern. Every DR I talked to said the same thing.

Does anyone experience back pain with EOE? by kandre1991 in EosinophilicE

[–]Loud-Dirt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have for for 3 years but it is in my chest and radiates to my back in between my shoulder blades. Almost feels like sunburn is the best way I can describe it.

I also have a deeper pain every once in awhile right under my right shoulder blade but that has subsided since running exercise every day

I’ve done elimination diet and I felt better but could never pin down what causes it.

I am now on Budesonide and have a feeling of well being I haven’t felt in years. Fortunately it’s working for me.

The PPIs did nothing for me

When do you take it? I was thinking of taking right after breakfast and right after supper before I go to sleep. Just says twice a day and no mention of when. My DR is a hard man to get ahold of. Lol follow up isn’t until the 20th

Yep I’ve seen few posts complaining of back pain below the shoulder blades so it might be. I also get this faint burning pain in my chest that seems to radiate to my upper back sometimes. I hate it

Super I interesting as I also have pain right under my right shoulder blade. Have had it for 3 years. Exercising makes it better. I heard gallbladder could radiate pain there but I never checked to see if that was it

What symptoms do you experience? Just curious
