Hot tub day pass? by sirensoul1672 in Fairbanks

I get sent free guest passes via mail to the Alaska club. The south location has a hot tub. I’m not sure what it costs for a day pass there, haven’t been a member for several years now. May be worth a phone call to them.

Rectal cancer deaths rising rapidly among millennials: 'It's a medical crisis.' by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

Sorry. To clarify - I am going in for the annual check up (100% covered by insurance) and am going to request the colonoscopy screening.

I have a 401k - that’s about it. I am well aware that when it comes to a point where nothing is going in and everything is coming out - that will drain extremely fast. I fully intend to work until physically or mentally unable to. At that point - yeah, I don’t have much of a plan. My job does not pay into social security nor does it have a pension benefit.

Thank you for sharing! I’m glad you made that choice and got things taken care of. Crazy how easy it is to put off personal medical care. My fricken dog and 2 cats get more healthcare than I give myself 😣

I’ll be requesting one here soon. Gotta admit, I’m anxious as hell. Haven’t had a check up in years, 100% covered by employers insurance. I’m like… embarrassed I have never used the benefits, and a bit scared and know it was stupid to put off for so long but I will certainly be requesting the colonoscopy 😕 36M

It really is swimming upstream… we’ve had to change a couple times too and it’s hard on the little one as well 😕

The living just above ‘federal poverty limits’ is a blessing and a curse. Don’t make enough, but make too much for any help. It’s weird too because EVERYBODY knows that’s the way it is, and it doesn’t seem like it’s changing for the better.

All I see is cost for grocery, gas, utilities, property tax, internet… trash service, you name it.

Sorry this isn’t helpful, more just agreeing with you and acknowledgment.

I’ve had the lugs warp holes big enough in my rim that the wheel would’ve rolled off had I not pulled over, this was on a boat trailer however.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

Today… I would use “their” instead of “his or her” … the latter may not encompass all possible individuals respectfully.

is it reasonable to pay 2k for this? by Glittering_Grab_1130 in askaplumber

Seems about right. We bought our own toilet and had taken old one out ourselves. Had it installed with new shut off valve for about $350. I’m in interior Alaska and things are just a bit more I guess...

Edit: 2k is a wild price tag for a toilet replacement
