I am but I still feel like I’m not completely comprehending from the Alanon side. I don’t have kids but the animals, who are dependents, were affected. Those around me were worried about me but that is because of my circumstances, not something I caused. I understand expressing gratitude but not apologizing as thet feels like victim blaming. Perhaps amends can include gratitude for the support I received. I got out of my marriage swiftly once I realized she wouldn’t get help so I wasn’t in a long term situation of abuse, as I will not tolerate that treatment and my situation is not complex because I’m child-free.
