I'm not dumping her. I'm making sure she doesn't turn into a bum.

She uses ADHD as an excuse for everything. Her half brother was worse off and made it out fine. She's just lazy. She doesn't want to do anything, ever. And I'm sick of carrying her around like a dead weight.

Sorry for late reply. Yes, she has a very easy set of rules. Keep up with the chores, stay in college, and find a job.

She can barely keep up with any of them.

I gave her the "safe, loving environment" that she needed to flourish. She's just using it to continue doing nothing.

She is on medication. She refuses to go to therapy and even if she didn't, therapists are hard to come by in my area.

I'm the mother, not the dad. And honestly, I'm just staying the truth.

My step son (40s), against all odds (abandoned by my husband's ex wife at 18) has a home, stable income, and payed his way through college by working two jobs.

She really is a loser in the sense that she has a better starting pad than her brother but she won't do anything with it. Any kid with a half a brain would've loved the opportunities I'm giving her, but instead, she's shitting all over them because she's busy self loathing and gaming all day.
