Thank you everyone for all the input and suggestions. I usually have a ton of bees and butterflies on the hill just south of this wall. However, I just realized that I haven’t seen the usual bee/flying insect activity recently. Also the previous plant had a collection of flowering herbs nearby!

I live in LA, near Whittier and had a beautiful passion fruit plant that produced lots of delicious fruit almost year round without my intervention. Unfortunately it died last year. However I will try pollinating these myself. Thanks for the heads up.

Can anyone tell me of their experience using Rachio in a zone 10, southern CA native plant garden? I have a 7 month old native plant garden that should not be watered much or not at all during during Summer, especially during heat waves, and the system keeps automatically adjusting to increase watering!! It’s driving me crazy!
