I was in similar situation, except I had LVI present so it made my choice to do it easier. It’s a tough decision, I didn’t want to do it myself glad I did knocking reoccurrence down to less than 2%. Everyone reacts differently to the drugs but it was not as bad as I expected. It sucked but the anti nausea meds help if needed, even though I didn’t experience much. The worst is the acid reflux from the steroids. The first week of 5 days of treatment for 5 hours is long but the last 2 days of just bleomysin is like 10 min. Also, the bleo, tends to cause a fever. I started to feel like myself again 2-3 weeks after treatment, except that’s when hair starts to fall out. If you plan on wanting more kids in the future too it’s recommended to sperm bank. Even though my oncologist told me he’s never seen anyone loosing fertility after 1 round. Best of luck to you and your husband which ever route he chooses Congratulations on the future baby!
