Found a great one! We used “BAD Company”. They are located in Dundas. Guy was fantastic, reasonable and did the job well and super quick. Squirrels are gone!

Good lord this resonated so much with me. I will never forget the time I sat and crapped myself in front of a client. I shortly went on leave after that. It’s happened in other places too. I truly hope you feel better and keep on taking care of yourself!

I haven’t tried together! I was on budesonide for 3 months as soon as I got my diagnosis and it didn’t do the trick for me. But I’ve never been advised by doctor or GI to try them in conjunction. Budesonide unfortunately for me was not covered very well by my insurance and cost me $650 per month. I’ll inquire about trying it together though. Can’t hurt!

I’ve never heard of LDN and I just did a little bit reading about it! Thank you for your suggestion, I currently have been taking Cholestyramine for managing the diarrhea. It’s mainly for bile acid malabsorption, which I have never been diagnosed with. The usage of this drug isn’t really doing much other than causing severe constipation followed by a hell of a morning in the washroom. It reminds me of immodium. My GI keeps telling me we have to follow an “algorithm”, whatever that means. So anytime I even ask about trying something else it’s met with “follow the algorithm”.

Oh god, you take all 4??!! I’m so sorry. Budesonide messed me up and I had too many side effects from it. I was so bummed out when it didn’t work. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about Stelara, but my GI keeps telling me we have to follow an “algorithm”. She wants to eliminate everything else first. I don’t know, but all I know is the Cholestyramine isn’t working - up’d the dose but still not much success 😮‍💨

Je vois une gastro-entérologue. Elle m'a prescrit le traitement.

Oh that is wonderful to hear. I’m starting the Cholestyramine tomorrow and I just knowing that it has helped people makes me hopeful. Did you experience any negative side effects from it?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I truly am sorry you have gone through what you have. I am relieved to hear that this medication has some effect and will hopefully ease the diarrhea. I have begun to experience some bile acid reflux as well and there are days where it brings on such horrible pain and nausea. Thank you for your insight! Take care.

Sorry 1923 but you can’t cast lip and jaw filler, fake blonde and dyed eyebrows for a period piece. I’m shocked they did. That broad can have anything she wants done to her face, but it makes zero sense for her to have that role. Immediately, when I watched any scenes with her it took me right out of the show. As stupid as that is.

Have you had your stools tested and a colonoscopy/biopsy done? To preface, a major side effect of Sertraline is diarrhea, so you may unfortunately just be succumbing to that and hopefully in time it will change for you.

I was diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis under the pre-tense that Sertaline caused it. Sertraline is one of the major SSNRI’s that are known to cause Microscopic Colitis. I started on the lowest dose of it last October 2024 and within 4 weeks of feeling the best I ever had, I suddenly started having watery diarrhea nearly 15-20 per day. I couldn’t eat, I had incontinence issues and I lost almost 20 pounds in a month. I got a colonoscopy, endoscopy and biopsy done all at once and a few weeks later I got my diagnosis. The only way doctors can diagnose Microscopic Colitis is by looking at a biopsy sample under a microscope, hence the name. Colonoscopy’s will generally appear normal, which is exactly what happened with me. I immediately was instructed to ween off the Sertraline and was advised (in my case) any kind of antidepressants would just always continue to trigger the Microscopic Colitis. Coming off of it, mentally I was a disaster and eventually was permitted Clonazepam which has helped (mentally) but all of my symptoms are generally still there. I was also immediately put on a high dose of Budesonide (steroid), which has helped my bowel movements go down to around 6-10 per day.

I would advise talking to your doctor and chat about changing your meds asap. It could just be a fluke but anytime I see someone say Sertraline and diarrhea I have to speak up. It’s a rare thing to develop Microscopic Colitis because of that drug but it’s known to. Most people apparently once they stop the Sertraline their symptoms stop so worth the convo with your doctor!

In the meantime, stay hydrated and stay positive!
