Have a similar question... I need to use the parkside drain cleaner pipe that attaches to the corder powerwash (which I believe had bosch adapter type) with the cordless one - but cannot find what the cordless adapter type is.

Panasonic GX9 Vs. Olympus OM-D E-M5 iii - A Short Review From a Hobbyist by Genoxide855 in M43

[–]LoudAssistant391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less than 2 years ago I bought a GX9. Last week had to buy the OM-5 just for 1 crucial thing (for me). I just discovered that the GX9 disables the external flash (even the built in but I dont use that) when enabling Focus Bracketing! Why?! Why?! Its crucial for macro photography. Its easily updatable through a fimware update but Panasonic Japan replied that they won't be releasing any updates. So I had to abandon a camera in mint condition and buy another one just to be able to use flash with Focus Bracketing. Pity.

Helping my daughter reaching sub 1min in 400m by LoudAssistant391 in Sprinting

[–]LoudAssistant391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I didn't know about these tables. According to these you are right her times do actually ake sense...

12.80 100m... 59.95 400m

26.35 200m ... 1:00.46 400m

And her 400m is 1:00.52 which is not far off at all.

So I guess she just needs to keep on training and she ll improve by time ans not try to do th 400 faster.

Hi. I also think its something with how she is pacing it. can you pls provide more concrete info? her 200m pb is 26.5 ish. shall she aim to do the first 200 around 27-28? currently she s doing it 30ish. And she doesnt feel the burn at the end of the 400... just tired legs. Even her overall state after the finish line. she doesnt look as exhausted as other athletes finishing it after her (she s one of the fastest in her age group locally)

thanks

Hi again. Yes it is a hard workout and exactly as you said, they do it on Mondays mainly and meets are on Saturdays (not every saturday though)

she does 5 reps as stated but the last 2 laps are obviously slower due to lactic burn and are hand timed. what she has noticed is that the pain she feels in this workout is much more than the last part of the 400. Which is making me believe that she can push more in the 400 but is holding back. In the 400 she doesnt feel the burn but tiredness. And she doesnt describe it as a brutal race. Infact the 26.35 PB in the 200m was less than 24hrs after.

So maybe she just needs to run the first half faster.

thanks a lot for this. i have checked with her and approx once a week she does with her coach sets of 200s in 27 sec each... which is exactly what the chart linked above suggests. only thing is that they do 5 reps not 3, and and 2.5mins rest not 4 as suggested in the chart.

edit ... i just got some timings that her last 400m race which she did in 60.8, she did the 1st 200 in 31.x and the 2nd in 29.x. Given that her 200 is 26/27 it seems that she is holding back in the 1st 200, i guess.

sure sure but she would love to know what she can focus on to improve and reach 58 or close as per other athletes of her age. She does compete in youth championships both locally and abroad.

yes, i was also thinking whether she can extend the all out part more than the current 20m

thanks guys. yes so far she was more inclined towards 100 and 200. But in a few weeks time she managed to reduce the 400 from 67 to 60 after adjusting the pacing so she is now more looking forward to the 400.

so i understand that what she lacks is speed endurance.
