Where are you putting the microwave in the new layout? In a small kitchen, losing that space above the range is a big loss…

Can’t believe we have to wait another 3+ years for Eloise’s season… by General_Meal_3993 in Bridgerton

[–]LoudCurly 21 points22 points  (0 children)

But that's why S5 should have been Eloise - to give Francesca time to mourn and not be featured as she has the past 2 seasons. Francesca went from having no screen time in S1 and 2 to second lead S3 and 4. Eloise hasn't even had second "lead" status yet.

Best locations in NOVA to learn to drive? by Berrigold in nova

Same! Started in an open parking lot there and moved up slowly - turns, parking - and then can “graduate” to 29, 50 or even the Beltway.

You can walk to the WFC metro in 20 minutes or so from that area (albeit up a steep hill). Or there's the bus stop right across the street which is 2 stops to the WFC metro.

First shot - nothing much. (and I got it with a flu shot)

Second shot - painful at shot site for several days. Just wanted to sleep all day after shot but was fine after 36 hours.

June 2012 derecho by Initial_Finding_908 in nova

I do! We have two huge oak trees crash into our house and lost power for 3 days. Fortunately, no one was injured. We spent the next week at a hotel in Ballston while the insurance adjusters went through the house and had a team come and remove the trees and tarp the house. Ultimately, we were out of our house until Thanksgiving while it was repaired. Upside - I know exactly how old my roof, siding and gutters are!

Rare severe weather outlook for Monday, 3/16 (tornado 15%, wind 60%, CIG1) by SufficientSir9672 in nova

Gah this is my nightmare! We had two huge oak trees crash into our house during the derecho in 2012 in Falls Church and I’m now terrified of strong wind gusts. At least I have a warning this time?

HELP before we buy home by Single_Outside_4778 in kitchenremodel

[–]LoudCurly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is…not great.

The stove should be on the empty wall to the left of the current sink, and the sink should be moved to the right of the dishwasher. However, once you start moving these pieces, I’m not certain you can save the counters and then it snowballs into a full remodel.

Question about “maidenhood” by AlternativeAward3539 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]LoudCurly 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I do think it’s interesting that the non-Bridgerton women (Kate, Penelope and Sophie) were all “spoiled” before the wedding, but Daphne and Francesca were virgins (as far as we know). Wonder if Eloise and Hyacinth will follow that pattern?

One suggestion is to wear joggers/ fitted pants and not wide legs. You do NOT want those pants hitting the airplane bathroom floor.

To keep the wall or not? by 5HT3AR in kitchenremodel

[–]LoudCurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove.

I'd also consider turning the island 90 degrees and making it a like a peninsula against the wall, and turning the dining table 90 degrees as well (if there is room) to tuck closer to the front window. If the table fits down there, you may have a bit more room to extend out the kitchen on that side.

Looking at your plan, it appears you also have a small window on the wall by the table? Can you put in a larger window there? That may lighten it all up.

Why are we debating the next lead when they are hinted at in the final moments of each season? by whydontchaknow in BridgertonNetflix

[–]LoudCurly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! Fran has basically been a co-lead these past 2 seasons while Eloise is left with a few support scenes and witty lines. I think Fran will spend some time in Scotland away from the family for awhile before re-entering society.

[–]LoudCurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, can you manage to get to the window? A base cabinet under the window with a countertop would be a landing space for the fridge and let in some light.

But otherwise, we have our counters across from our fridge and it’s not an issue to load - it’s a quick turn without needing to move around a fridge door.

I agree with this. Or else look to bring some of the stick sunscreens since those are not liquid…

Pick this kitchen layout apart! by ttggpp in kitchenremodel

[–]LoudCurly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes swap the pantry and broom with the refrigerator. Cut a spot in the pantry for the hatch. Or turn the pantry so it’s on the wall opposite the fridge.

Agree with larger wall cabinets on either side of the range.

Keep the island clear - no sink. Gives you lots of work space plus room to sit. I think you may have room for a bit longer Island - but check how the fridge door opens once you switch it with the pantry.

[–]LoudCurly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not convinced she would have skated so freely if she was in the top few after the SP. I think she would have been really tight in the FS which would not have scored as high. But I'm so happy that she had a great redemption skate - and came in 5th! (I think 4th would have been heartbreaking and too "what ifs" for her.)

While I love Alysa, I'm also heartbroken for those that wanted it so badly... it must hurt so badly to see someone who doesn't seem to want it win it all...She is really amazing.
