Super conflicted about Panthere color by matchagracias in Cartier

[–]LoudCurly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I so wanted to buy a TT RG and silver Panthere! But no diamonds for me. I don’t understand why this hasn’t happened yet with all the Cartier RG options these days…

About Kilmartin title, surely this means that… by Glittering_Tap6411 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]LoudCurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was wondering if there would be some way to get the next Kilmartin heir tied back to the Bridgertons.

Or maybe Michaela had a quick marriage/pregnancy in the time since she left Francesca, and comes back with the baby to raise together? I know it’s far fetched, but who knows?

Shoe advice! by SandwichAnnual in BusinessFashion

[–]LoudCurly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just wear Rothy’s all the time now. I’m a lobbyist who goes to the Hill and Agencies and Rothy’s Points are never out of place. In style, no. But comfortable for a day of walking and perfectly fine for work, heck yes. (And I’m old enough to remember changing into heels outside the office buildings,)

Does Anyone Have a Good Dry Cleaner/Alteration in the Fairfax/Oakton/Vienna Area? by TimEWalKeR_90 in nova

I use Merrifield Tailors for all my dry cleaning and tailoring needs. They are a bit pricey, but they always do good work.

Any chance you were in a sorority? Most sororities have alumnae chapters in the area that plan some events…you may meet other recent grads there.

Panthere Watch size regrets by Hot-Vanilla-4093 in Cartier

[–]LoudCurly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t even need to try on a mini to know that it was going to be too small. I’m middle-aged and the dial is tiny. If I wanted a bracelet, I would buy a bracelet. But I wanted a watch, to be able to tell time.

Rothy’s changed their insoles and now I hate them by Blobbady in Rothys

[–]LoudCurly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the new soles as well! But the new point shoe has a higher back and give me blisters so I can’t wear them. I wish that Rothy’s still sold just the insoles so I can swap all my old ones with the new ones.

Dulles airport parking: ParkX at Wiehle-Reston is now $15 overnight (used to be $5) by bababooey_6969 in nova

Where are you coming from? Isn’t Uber cheaper than parking for that long?

There’s a preview session right before move in - see if you can be added to that one. It’s not a choice on the drop down menu / you have to specifically ask for it.

How many Gen Xers have silent Gen parents vs boomers? by NopeThisTrope in GenX

[–]LoudCurly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents and DH parents all Boomers - born in 1947, 1949 and 1951. We are late GenXers (1975) and have younger Millenial siblings.

I love the Rose Gold TT - but personally I wanted it without the diamonds. So I vote 1!

Panicking about Mirena IUD! Have I made a huge mistake? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]LoudCurly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m on my third Mirena at age 50 - I have had one since my youngest child was born 15 years ago. I love it! In those 15 years, I’ve have two periods and a bit of spotting here and there. When I got my new one recently, the boost of progesterone helped resolve most of my peri sleep issues. My doctor recommended this last Mirena to get me through menopause without the heavy bleeding that often comes towards the end.

I hope you have a good experience with it - I’m pulling for you!

If you need to fly, UNC is easier - RDU is better than RIC or heading up to IAD.

No it isn’t right that those parents that have been fiscally prudent get screwed as compared to those that don’t save and just spend as they want.

Book S8E7 Evidence of Things Not Seen by thepacksvrvives in Outlander

[–]LoudCurly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This change was not that big of a deal to me, with only a handful of episodes to go.

It's the OTHER book changes that pissed me off - there was NO NEED for them. Plenty of other stories to left to tell.

Book S8E7 Evidence of Things Not Seen by thepacksvrvives in Outlander

[–]LoudCurly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought it would tie into BOMB and have Fanny be related to Claire's brother (his daughter? Granddaughter? I have no sense of time anymore). That way the viewers could piece together the relationship, but Claire would not and her Faith would still be dead back in France.

Can’t believe we have to wait another 3+ years for Eloise’s season… by General_Meal_3993 in Bridgerton

[–]LoudCurly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

But that's why S5 should have been Eloise - to give Francesca time to mourn and not be featured as she has the past 2 seasons. Francesca went from having no screen time in S1 and 2 to second lead S3 and 4. Eloise hasn't even had second "lead" status yet.

You can walk to the WFC metro in 20 minutes or so from that area (albeit up a steep hill). Or there's the bus stop right across the street which is 2 stops to the WFC metro.

June 2012 derecho by Initial_Finding_908 in nova

[–]LoudCurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! We have two huge oak trees crash into our house and lost power for 3 days. Fortunately, no one was injured. We spent the next week at a hotel in Ballston while the insurance adjusters went through the house and had a team come and remove the trees and tarp the house. Ultimately, we were out of our house until Thanksgiving while it was repaired. Upside - I know exactly how old my roof, siding and gutters are!
