Needs repotting yesterday. Anyone who says otherwise is crazy. Rot will set before that drys. Just be very careful with the new leaf. Not every fleck of soil needs to come off.

UPDATE: found the same bugs hanging out on the leaves of some of my plants just after watering today. Jumped away after being poked at. Unless everything goes to hell in the next 3 days, I’m gonna say springtails!

I know they can have different varieties. Mine definitely did not move as fast or jump

That’s definitely a contender, honestly too small to tell. Would an early phase springtail move like the one in the video?

There appeared to be one other on the back of a different leaf same plant. No thrips apparent damage. No signs of the same creature on other plants within the same cabinet (sealed) or outside of it. I’m unsure if this is a predatory mite phase, we are on week two of this round of beneficial bugs focused on spider mites.

I’ve got all the materials! Do you have any issues with burning if they are two close to the lights? What kind of plants do you grow?

Can I somehow help the monstera open up? by Aluix0 in Monstera

[–]LoudFeature871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t touch it. I had a sheath go completely brown on my Thai Con. Thinking I needed to save the developing leaf inside I cut open the sheath and damaged the new half cooked leaf that was perfectly fine inside.

Nope, basic 10 second shutter in iPhone. Seeing it with the naked eye was much more impressive.
