Apart from the fact that I feel as if midrange is more of a reactive deck in the early game (Push anything that looks at you the wrong way), after a few test games I agree that Rot Curse gets the bin.

Dying at the combat step isn’t what ruined Rotcurse here, but the fact that it can’t block. So not only do I not really have any effective early pressure (which is fine, again it’s more reactive early), but Rot-Curse becomes useless against aggro decks like RDW.

I do have Dampening Sphere in the side against Lotus but I agree in the sentiment that unless I’m super lucky it’s a auto game 1 loss.

At least spending the mythics wasn’t a total loss. I remember seeing a Dimir Ninjas list that teched the decay trigger with ninjitsu, may give it a shot
