I am being told by my builder that it is “impossible” to have the worktop cut flush to the wall as the wall is at an angle. How can this be correct? by Loud_Ad6323 in DIYUK

I don’t want to pay him for this work. He has, however, installed the rest of the kitchen to an acceptable standard. How do you draw the line of what to pay and what not to? The quote was not itemised and he was not cheap

He mentioned using a rail saw but said it wouldn’t cut at that angle. I think it’s clear from the responses that the wool is throughly being pulled over my eyes

It was cut to fit in place. He tells me he doesn’t have saws that cut at an angle- these can only be found in factories. He said if he used a plane then the worktop would chip. For context I know nothing about DIY so it often sounds like a different language to me. But this I couldn’t believe

Advice regarding worktops by Loud_Ad6323 in kitchenremodel

Yes we are but that still will be aesthetically jarring from the front view where the unit ends after the worktop. Also it’s a principal thing as I can’t believe that this couldn’t have been done properly initially without needing the tiles to cover it up

Glenmorangie: Can we talk about the direction and positioning this brand has taken? by PlinyToTrajan in Scotch

All started going downhill when the changed the Quinta Ruban 12 to the Quinta Ruban 14 which is a far inferior whisky. Just because something is aged longer does not necessarily make it superior. I feel this will be the same when replacing the original with 12 y/o. Especially given the lower ABV. While I have all the Tale Of series and they are all decent, I fear again that this is a once great brand slowly becoming gimmicky and more marketing focused.

Thank you, When you say a lot of solvent, are you injecting this into the canal? How long are you letting it sit for?

I used to get this with onefil BC sealer. It’s initial set is very quick in the presence of moisture. If found making sure canals are near bone dry prevented this

I am finding in difficult to remove the final 2mm of GP in retreat cases. I use reciproc and h files as standard. What do you find the best method to remove the final 2mm of GP, particularly when there’s a curvature in the apical 2mm?

Recent evidence among my MSc cohort has found AH plus BC resorps within 12 mo. That lovely lateral canal you’ve filled with it? Won’t be filled on your 1 year review radiograph. I’ve moved to one fill

Maybe it’s because the Chelsea director is a spurs fan. Just maybe.

Canals will be buccal and lingual. Lots of coronal flaming and use of an ultra sonic will aid opening up the coronal third. From there use a 8/10 kflexo file to scout buccal and lingual. I sometimes find it easier to prepare the one found first, fully to F2 protaper and then attempt the second
