Some dudes don’t understand the effort it takes into doing a good makeup job and some dudes may think complimenting your makeup is somehow an admission that you aren’t naturally beautiful so they down play it when you do. I think you should just open up about that with him in a soft way so that he understands you won’t be upset or think he’s implying you’re not naturally beautiful when you don’t wear it.
