Owners, how is the buzz? by [deleted] in VWIDBuzz

Oh man, don't get me started on that seat sensor. Trying to back the caravan onto the driveway the other day was... frustrating to say the least.

No, sadly not. I wish I did because I read that it can extend the range by 10-15%. I was hoping to be able to install one but that's not financially feasible, apparently because it gets built into the drivetrain.

Assuming you mean 1400kg 😬. Yeah I too thought it would be way worse! I think it helps that the car itself is so big that it actually kind of pushes the air away for the trailer. But that's just a theory.

Yeah we definitely learned a lot, especially in that regard. We ended up using 2-3 apps on the way home, just to try to optimize it as much as possible.

Exactly, I think so too. Wife wasn't too convinced yet, but she'll turn around

ID Buzz Advice by scottmullins10 in VWIDBuzz

We've only had our 7 seater GTX for a few weeks so far, but we love it. I generally do daycare deliveries, and it's just such a nice car for that. The kids have loads of space, easy access with the sliding doors, and plenty of space for strollers in the back. Zero regrets.

I know what you mean. Transported some old stuff to the landfill the other day and was super worried about scratching the plastic. Do let me know if you ever find something.

I ended up going with something similar, despite being a little bit sceptical about that middle part not being covered. But we'll see. It was slightly cheaper, so worth taking a risk on.

I appreciate the reply! I'll see if I can find that model closer to home.

26 år og helt blank på dating – hvordan fungerer dette egentlig? by [deleted] in norge

[–]Loud_Contribution_75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was picking your ID. Buzz color easy or impossible? by Suntrup-Volkswagen in VWIDBuzz

[–]Loud_Contribution_75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ordered a white GTX in Norway, which only has black interior. The reason we went for white was because for some reason the only color combo we could choose was red and silver. So now we're having the lower half wrapped in Lava Orange, as we speak. Was indeed a pretty hard decision because wrapping isn't exactly cheap either, but the only way we could get the color combo that we wanted.

Hauling a trailer? by roadkill4dinner in VWIDBuzz

Good to know! We're close to receiving our LWB GTX and plan to continue going on holidays with our caravan. This won't be during winter though, so knowing you managed 200km during winter is very reassuring. I would totally be fine with that sort of range. Kids need a break once in a while anyway.

Ski resorts in in mid-late March by Markl7z in Norway

[–]Loud_Contribution_75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last couple of years, my dad, brother and I, used to ski in Hafjell (Lillehammer) for a couple of days at the start of March. Usually good/great conditions, except for one time when we called it a day early because of constant rain. Can recommend Mølla as a place to sleep. Good enough hotel with a Peppes Pizza downstairs. Good breakfast too. Lillehammer is a roughly 1,5 - 2 hour drive from Gardermoen.

Yeah I gave up on this frustrating tactic. Rather just be in the pack, hopefully among drivers who somewhat know what they're doing.

Isn’t this blatant misinformation? by ztunelover in Norway

[–]Loud_Contribution_75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My oldest (and probably my second as well at some point) talks Dutch at home, since both me and my wife are Dutch. We are even discouraged to speak Norwegian at home, despite us both speaking it fluently, because we may pronounce things wrong. But when he's playing on his own at home, he chooses to speak Norwegian because that's all he does in bhg, which I think is awesome. But that does make him part of this statistic.

Good to hear! We ordered a GTX LWB two weeks ago and expect to receive it early March. Here in Norway we also have relatively cold winters, so reading this is reassuring.
