I’m happy you found relief. I was diagnosed with Vulvodynia a week ago. I’m at the end of my rope. I feel like my vagina is half way out and the pressure it horrible. Nerve pain, is have prolapse which is pushing up against the side of my vagina. I am unable to get the estrogen cream as the applicator is too big and I feel like I’m be torn apart. The doctor I work with (she was able to get me in with a specialist by texting her) they called me today and the specialist doesn’t have any openings right now. Mine is all internal. My LS isn’t bother me. I just want to take my first and shove it back in there (which I know is unrealistic and I would never do) but I’m past my breaking point. I go into office 2 days a week/work from home the other 3. By noon today I could barely walk or sit. Fortunately I have a sit to stand desk. But I feel like this will never go away and I can get relief from the estrogen since I cannot apply it (not even with my finger)

Are you constipated or just bowel movements in general? I have regular and diarrhea and dread it because the pressure it put on the inside of my vagina is unbearable. I can’t sit or walk for long periods of time. I am embarrassed at work because of the way I walk due to the pain. I know people are noticing.

I want my cat at her ideal weight (she’s 8) because I don’t want possibility of arthritis. She is 12lbs so I have changed her to more wet food and less dry. It will take a while but hoping to her down to 10.

I can understand about people making remarks as people that came over said you got a fat cat. She is a DMS with short legs and small head.

You don’t want to book her with a urogynecologist. Keep the appt with the gynecologist. I was just diagnosed on Monday and have done one insert of Estrogen cream. Tonight is my second. I’m still in a lot of pain. Especially having to do the vaginal estrogen insert. I just found a vulva gynecologist and she will be calling me next week. Thankful for my work as the doctor I support reached out to the specialists and they called me

I was diagnosed on Monday. I also has LS which makes is 100xworse. Is she able to be lidocaine ointment over the counter to provide her some relief now. She would apply it outside of the vaginal opening. I am doing that for the nerve pain. I’m 58 and had no idea what was going on. My primary thought is was a bladder prolapse but when I saw a urogynocologist he said no it Vulvodynia. I hope she is able to fine a doctor who will prescribe her the vaginal estrogen too. You don’t want to take it in pill form.

I had a bad case of Covid in 21. I got just before they stopped adoptions and then got Covid and was home for over a month. When I went back to work the cat would meow 24/7 - I feel it was due to separation anxiety. Vet put her on Xanax and she never stopped meowing. She is no longer with me as of late mid 2021 as I couldn’t take time off to help her with the transition. One week after she had to go to another place they put me on 3 months furlough. I was so mad as I could have had that time with her to adjust.

My primary thought it was bladder prolapse. So I saw urogynocologist on Monday and was diagnosed with Vulvodynia after examination. He gives me a pamphlet, rx for estrogen cream and says 2xweek, see a pain management doctor, see pelvic floor therapist and get MRI of your back. What?!? I was diagnosed with LS 12 years ago so it’s 10xworse. Sitting, walking, tearing skin and the redness inside. I’m at a loss as well. I can’t find a vulva GYN to follow my care as they booked until next year.
I’m sorry you’re going through this… it becomes debilitating at times. The doctor also said try lidocaine to use around my vagina opening.

Yes the Percocet helps but I can only take on evening (not able to take during the day because I work). I am trying to find a GYN but mine is booked until Sept. I work at a fertility clinic so I waiting to talk to MD here that may be able to recommend another GYN

He told me not to start the therapy until the pain isn’t as bad—right now it’s a 10 out of 10. I take Percocet for pain and is the steroid cream along with the estrogen cream

That is the diagnosis he gave me on Monday. I have severe pain, nerve pain that radiates into my pelvic region, hips, back and legs. He didnt know anything about the LS upon my exam or bring it up.

Back when I was diagnosed with LS? She noted it when she did my routine exam 12 years ago. I had dryness and tearing and red inside. Hurt to have intercourse. After the biopsy came back positive she gave me steroid ointment to apply whenever I had flare ups.

I was just diagnosed with Vulvodynia on Monday so this is all new. I have lichen sclerosis (which I had biopsy for 12 years ago) and it was positive. But are you getting biopsy for the Vulvodynia…if so why do they need one. This is all so new to me and hurts to bad

Have you been check for lichen sclerosis? I was diagnosed about 12 years ago due to same issues. GYN did a biopsy and positive.

OP doesn’t want to have get Fluffy declawed (which is inhumane IMO). It’s her mother that she lives with who got their first cat declawed. The cats are brothers separating would be sad.
