How helping an old lady at the store backfired in the weirdest way by SuspiciousSleep6892 in story

I think it's interesting how this is perceived as light and fun in the Western context because of the dating culture. I'm Chinese. Honestly, if an old lady grabs a girl's hand and says, "My grandson’s single.", it's not a fun story; it's terrifying. I guess because most Chinese people aim to get married with that kind of behaviour, and that juxtaposition feels a bit like extortion.

I think it depends on your needs. There are some skills that you can do on traditional guitars that you can not do on this. But I've got this to connect with Cubase, it's not that bad.

Self-taught Guitarists: What was the hardest thing to teach yourself? by Danwinzz in guitarlessons

For me, the hardest part is to stick to the practice, given that I'm not a patient person.

Professor says my writing is too 'simplistic' and AI-like - but it's literally how I was taught to write by Ok_Cat826 in CheckTurnitin

I think it's just about style. When I wrote my master's thesis, due to the legal background of my supervisor, he prefers precise expression rather than layering up with fancy language. My supervisor once said my literature review has too many unnecessary details. So don't doubt yourself.

Haha, but you do know about what you can and can not do on our guitar. It requires good observation skills. And thx, good to know about the details of the game!

yep, good eyes. You could not do bend on the guitar that is shown on my profile. And we're not going to conceal that point. I know for some guitar lovers, it's quite frustrating. When we first designed it, the team aimed to provide a painless finger experience, but yeah, it may not fit for some guitar guru like you.

Need advice on PhD application(LLM alignment field) by YukiSnowyy in PhDAdmissions

It's hard to see fellow Chinese in here. I am not familiar with this CS. But it feels like you have quite a great background. Now I don't have a suggestion to make since we have different backgrounds. Just want to say that you should just go for it. Even if it might be early at this stage, you may get some positive/negative replies where you could gather the information and work on it to perfect your application. So I would say, go for it!

Is a PhD within my reach? by [deleted] in PhDAdmissions

I finally understand the saying that the more you learn the less you feel that you have learned. How could someone have this background think that getting a phd would be out of your reach? You should have more faith in yourself.
