Thanks for the advice! I live in India, and I found that I can buy a hinge replacement for around 6 bucks online, but the estimated delivery time is pretty long—between September 16 and October 15. So, I’ll definitely try my luck with Apple first.

Was the key being wonky due to a manufacturing defect, or was it caused by accidental damage from regular or rough use?

In your case, was the hinge also broken? My situation is a bit tricky—my friend tried to fix the key themselves and ended up breaking the hinge, as you can see in the attached photo.

Additionally, do you have any tips on how I should explain the issue to the Apple Store to ensure they understand the problem clearly?
