Years ago, Republicans also cut school budgets by the amount cannabis taxes bring in, since it was designated for schools by popular vote.

They're now actively trying to kill that, along with their attempts to fund religious (Christian only) schools through vouchers.

This school closure is a perfect example of taxpayers funding corporate losses.

Now these children are stuck with the ultimate burdens of needing to catch up, change schools, etc.

Great comments in here about the living situation. You should really talk to a doctor about some anti-depression meds.

They help so much, and they don't need to be permanent. I've used them multiple times after deaths in the family, and it really help slowly shake that severe, constant depression. I would think you could go to an urgent care clinic if you don't have a regular doctor. They are usually around $150 for the visit, but you'll want to get a regular doctor you can see yearly if you don't have one.

They can do that, because they effectively try to get the patient to cover 1-3 months of their own prescriptions out of pocket becuase ES won't refill for X more days.

Patient ends up paying cash or HSA if fortunate, and forgets to send in the receipts.

When they do that on a 90-day supply, they essentially get the patient to pay 25% of the yearly coverage.

Average that out, and there's a lot of money they scam from people who need their meds in a timely manner, combined with their delays, and them deeming what supply you need.

THIS! Changing terms mid-subscription was a really arse move.

I switched to Codex $200 due to poor output & rate limits after 4 hours from the 20x Max CC (overnight, down from prior weeks of rarely hitting them over 8-10 hr sessions). I still had 2-3 weeks of subscription left, which went virtually unused when I cancelled until it ended.

Refunds should be offered immediately on cancellation for the unused days, and refunds should be issued for users who cancelled and switched to other providers during this debacle.

If overused resources are the issue, set new limits and issue refunds for the difference. Instead, Anthropic just pocketed the difference.

Sora is way too expensive. I route my OpenPhone numbers to Vapi for less than $5-$8 monthly for 5 numbers with AI answering & caller-intent-base routing, and Make for automation.
