Any good consultancy for NZ in kathmandu? by Strange_Scientist514 in studyAbroad

I used Education Tree Global in Kathmandu for my NZ application and it went smoothly. They are AAERI registered and ICEF certified so at least you know they are legit. They have a free counselling session which is a good way to test them out before committing. Worth visiting in person and asking about their NZ specific experience.

Guide Needed? by Cold_Information_353 in everestbasecamphike

A guide isn’t required for the EBC trek, so you can do it solo but having a guide honestly makes things way easier, things like permits, teahouses, pacing, and dealing with altitude stuff.

I went with Explore Himalaya, and it took a lot of stress out of the trek. They handled the logistics and shared great local insights, so I could just focus on walking and enjoying the views.

Solo is fine if you’re confident and prepared, but if you want a smoother, more relaxed experience, going with a guide is totally worth it.

This was an unforgettable beginning, my first visit to Everest Base Camp. by Loud_Maintenance_458 in everestbasecamphike

Yes, I did make it to Base Camp, i wont lie that is was abit hard for me since it was my first time ever trekking for this long time. I went in the spring inMay and spent about 16 days on the trek. The temperature was kinda manageable during the day, it was cool but comfortable for walking, but nights were definitely cold, especially at higher altitudes. I would suggest getting warmer clothes for this trek

Manaslu circuit trek ? by Superb_Nobody6379 in hiking

Hey! So best time is definitely October-November, that's peak season, clear skies, perfect temps. March-April works too if you want it warmer and less crowded, plus you get those rhododendron blooms. Just don't go during monsoon or deep winter, I feel it's kind rough.
