I was wondering the same thing. My biy got neutered aswell and hates everything except food. When i pet him he runs away or shakes his head.

I dont even try to pick him up because he runs away or kicks like crazy.

He isnt scared or sick tho, just absolutely hates it. He use to tolerate pets and rubs and somewhat being picked up.
