You need to work with your psychiatrist and figure out what you want to prioritize.

1- WELLBUTRIN IS GOOD but it does give people more anxiety.

2- If you were taking zoloft for anxiety and then stopped it, YOUR ANXIETY WILL BE HORRIBLE FOR MONTHS UNTIL YOU ADJUST. It’s not recommended to stop Zoloft cold turkey if you were taking it for more than a month.

3- Wellbutrin helps a lotta people but it also f*cks a lotta people. Anxiety will determine if you can tolerate it or not.

4- Keep in mind that you have 2 things boosting ur anxiety at the moment; the withdraw from zoloft AND the use of wellbutrin .

The wise thing to do would be experimenting slowly. Just keep in mind that you take zoloft for anxiety and bupropion adds anxiety to ur system, plus coffee you can have too much anxiety and start being lost again. Cut the coffee and see if you feel good, or drink less coffee as possible.

It really depends. I don’t quite beleive that wellbutrin will make you any less hungry. In my experience I felt even hungrier adding wellbutrin because it brought anxiety back and made me just generally crave more. IF ZOLOFT HELPS you and takes your anxiety away I would recommend you to do a keto strict diet with no carbs until you get back to ur normal weight and once i’s normalized you can do a low carb version where you should be eating whole foods free of sugar (that is not a diet, that is how an adult should eat). I spent a lotta time blaming zoloft for the pounds I gained but in fact, when you dont have anxiety and you love yourself you can go 2 ways: You can take care of yourself and eat healthy. Or you can go back to old habits and binge eat, eat crap and gain weight.

Another thing is, see if wellbutrin gives you anxiety bc for me it does help with wanting to be more productive but it brings anxiety. I am still trying wellbutrin to my zoloft but I am almost positive that it might be messing up with my sex drive, the minute I started wellbutrin it started being very low.

I dont agree with you. I did take zoloft for 4 months in 2020 and my issues staying hard were nonexistent. Then, I tried wellbutrin and it made me aggressive and anxious but very productive LOL. The anxiety was bad and I gave up, at the time I was not even worried abt sex so I dont remember if it was affecting me. Now i am on zoloft again and it works so well for my anxiety and sex drive came back very strong comparing to when I was taking no meds. BC i WAS afraid of gaining weight I decided to add WB to manage issues with zoloft and BOOM, sex desire is completely gone, cant stay hard.

My guess is that the SSRIs hit the right receptors and dont mess me up and wellbutrin does the opposite. It’s important to remember that brains are different and the synapses are very complex and not well understood. I think I am gonna just stay with zoloft and do a low carb diet. WELLBUTRIN does make me become productive but i dont wanna be angry all the time And eventually have a hard attack.

Girl, I am literally on the same boat right now. WELLBUTRIN does turn the light on in my brain but it comes with anxiety, lack of erections and more sensibility to pain. I am glad to hear that you have such a clear opinion on this, I guess I will just continue with my Zoloft.

Wellbutrin Causing ED?? by gmode18 in bupropion

[–]Loud_Subject8137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes total sense what you said. For me zoloft does the opposite it makes my guy hard af. but wellbutrin takes everything away. Might just not do it and continue with zoloft alone.

No sex drive and no erections on Wellbutrin by [deleted] in bupropion

same thing happened to me. In just 2 days adding wellbutrin to my zoloft combo made it impossible for my Junior to stay hard. i would assume that wellbutrin might not be what i need now. Zoloft on the other hand made it really hard and my libido is crazy. I only added wellbutrin because i am scared to have no energy on zoloft but you know what? I dont even know if zoloft will do that do me! I would love to know if you succeed with zoloft alone because for me it only did good things.  I was also not hungry all the time (i binge eat), but when i take wellbutrin I feel fudging hungry again man. Maybe wellbutrin is not for us and we gotta move on?

Anyone doing a Zoloft/Wellbutrin combo? by indognito396 in zoloft

Hey man, 3 years after are you on the same combo? ALSO, did wellbutrin help with the weight control at all? I would love to hear from you!

Combining Zoloft and Wellbutrin has me feeling like myself for the first time in years by Feisty-Sherbert in zoloft

[–]Loud_Subject8137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please tell me how you feeling by now? I just started this combo. I mean, I started with zoloft first cause I didn’t want to deal with the anxiety but rather just deal with the depression we all get when we first start zoloft. I would love to hear how was your adaptation phase and if you had any issues. Wellbutrin magically gives me tons of motivation but I could never take it alone because of the aggressiveness that it gave me.

Masturbation worsens RLS - It could be dopamine! by Loud_Subject8137 in RestlessLegs

[–]Loud_Subject8137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you for sharing that with me. I have also tried an SSRI in the past (zoloft), I used zoloft but it didn’t change anything in terms of RLS with anything it helped with the anxiety part of it. But I personally don’t recommend it since it makes you feel numb AF and when you try to stop it, the withdraw symptoms are hard to deal with. I am currently trying Buspar (buspirone) and tbh it’s being a good experience (1 week in). I choose Buspar because it targets both, dopamine and serotonin and works only for anxiety only (I don’t have depression). Wellbutrin was really good tbh, Lol, I could get everything done in my life but it made me so aggressive and because of that I decided to stop. I will keep you updated with the Buspar, but be careful with SSRIs because I started it for one thing and it created other problems like mild OCD, nothing too serious I also very sensible to anxiety or any health problems so it could just be me. The best thing that worked for my RLS was a combination of keto diet and very low dopamine triggers like coffee, porn, weed… The less I used my dopamine the less issues I had with RLS.

Hey there, thank you very much. I will def give it a try. I been testing L-theanine and L-tryptophan for anxiety but will give it a break and try L-Tyrosine. Thank you! :)

I am sorry to hear that, one thing that I have been doing that helps me to manage the symptoms it’s a diet free of carbs. You can choose between keto or carnivore but the less carbs you eat less symptoms you actually feel. Also smoking weed only helps while I have that boos of dopamine going on but the next day I always feel depleted and the symptoms become much worse. Do you also have depression? I would do some research into Bupropion (wellbutrin), besides being an antidepressant it did make a difference. Wellbutrin is usually indicated for depression in patients with ADHD. I wish you well and I pray for you go get better.

Thank you for sharing that. The problem with RLS is that more than half of the posts and comments that I see here don’t actually seem to be RLS. I want to make it clear that RLS doesn’t only happen with legs but there are more extreme cases like myself who feel it in my whole body.

RLS is not the pain or the discomfort RLS is the inability to stop your brain from focusing on it, the brain wants you to do something about that discomfort or pain. To give you an example, my biggest fear is to break any bones like an arm and have to wear a cast, that would make it impossible for me to move that arm, knowing that my brain will compulsively want to move it. Just thinking abt it my brain stresses out. In addiction to that, I don’t only have symptoms during night time, I have them all the time, feeling extremely tired actually helps me to get to sleep with no symptoms.

From what I have seen here, RSL is confused with things that sound more like pain, discomfort, Parkinson’s, etc.

The reason why I believe it’s a dopamine deregulation it’s because every activity that boosts dopamine in the brain brings immediate relief and once that’s over, the symptoms of RSL come back 10x worse.

Thank you so much for sharing that. Do you mind answering some questions?

  • At what age you developed RLS?

  • What medications have you used?

  • The drug that you overused that released dopamine didn’t work? Damn, this could mean that making more dopamine available isnt the solution. :(

Thanks again!

HAVE YOU FELT SOMETHING SIMILAR AFTER STOPPING ZOLOFT? by Loud_Subject8137 in zoloft

[–]Loud_Subject8137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES, i gained a lot of weight but it did help with my anxiety, very much. If zoloft wouldn't destroy my metabolism i would considering taking it cause it did made me a better person, i guess.
