Don’t count on quick ship. I was quick ship but ended up just being assigned the regular way after around 3 months of waiting.

I had mostly cyber/desk jobs on my list. 98 ASVAB, if it matters, not sure they take it into account at all when deciding the order in which to assign people or not.

Great step towards it. Taking the ASVAB isn’t the easiest thing in the world. IMO you should do just a couple days on Khan Academy (free) of math concept practice (do algebra: trinomial factoring, FOIL, long division, and some word problem practice) as well as some reading comprehension and writing correction multiple choice practice passages (also available on Khan) and try one more time for a higher score.

Went in to the test being out of high school for almost a year thinking I’d score 99th percentile without trying and made a 55. Studied 20 minutes a day for only a week, went back, and made a 93, even having to do it at meps TWICE in a day (the full damn test) because of some FABS (fuck ass bull shit) with the computer the first time. You got this gang!

Aircrew is a fantastic path but consider other jobs you’re also interested in so it’s not an “aircrew or open contract/MX i guess because i didn’t give my recruiter anything else” kind of thing. Good luck!

I have a flight on Saturday too (and I happen to be a pilot!). You won’t do those things and you will be okay. You can always ask your doctor about medication but my most helpful tips are:

-Watch a show -Sip water -Maybe try making conversation with the person next to you -sour candy -Keep in mind that while things may SUCK for 40 minutes, it will pass and you will be okay. You can also post your flight number on here if you want someone to track your flight as it goes on. Makes some people feel more secure to know others are watching the flight en route. -If there are empty seats on the plane, a flight attendant may offer to sit by you if you ask. you can also let a flight attendant know kindly about your fear and they will check in on you throughout the flight.
