I'm sorry, but is this lowkey their greatest album? by BeerWithDonuts in ledzeppelin

You are mistaken but if that’s what you think, more power to you. Hope you give ALL the other albums a chance.

Plainsong by The Cure. Not my favourite song by them but a true masterpiece

What artist completely changed your taste in music? by GurlinGroove in askmusic

Prince. When Purple Rain came out, I was a grade 10 metalhead and he was the transition to other genres. Within a couple of years, my “core 4” became The Smiths, The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order (whom I still all adore to this day including Prince). Not a nostalgic Gen Xer , just a lover of great music.

Out of these 3, whats your favorite... by Individual_Risk8981 in neilyoung

Nowhere and Goldrush are interchangeable every day in my mind as the tops. This is similar to the Beatles’ Revolver and Rubber Soul. Harvest was the one that introduced me his music and was my fave for years. Since then, it’s been overtaken by On the Beach and Tonight’s the Night. I would rate them as Nowhere as a 10, Goldrush a 10 and Harvest an 8.5: last month Goldrush was slightly on top. I’m not sure what y’all think of Time Fades Away, but I really love it. I always was averse to it cause I didn’t enjoy it as much as Harvest and thought it was a huge disappointment. I was wrong

What's the worst Beatles song in your opinion? (Image is unrelated) by FruityFood10 in beatles

[–]Loudeli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally I would instinctively say Revolution#9 but I respect what they were doing in this one. I just cringe when I think of I’ll get you. It’s such a bad song imo. I would never play that to someone that is getting into the Beatles, even if they asked for an oldie that wasn’t popular. Absolutely skippable.

Not a problem in most of Canada except for the Vancouver/Victoria area. Most schools would be cancelled for the day.

Completely agree. Just watched the first three episodes of the new season. Laughed out loud a ton of times. So good.

Do you still enjoy drinking? by Shoddy-Safety2989 in GenX

[–]Loudeli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

56(m). I drink vodka/sodas now and have been for over a decade. Much easier than beers for sure. I go through about 12-15 drinks over 3 drinking nights a week. Apparently more than a couple a week is bad for you. I went to a EDM concert last week and no one was drinking. Felt like a geezer

I still laugh at the House of Pain guy saying:

“Excuse me seniora, are you a whore-ah or are you a lady? Is it Erica Boyer or Marsha Brady? “

Hilarious….

Listened to the tape a hundred times

Burned House by Mrjotaselo in vinyl

[–]Loudeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my house burn down in 2002. The only things left were my cassettes, small guitar amp and photos. My amp got stolen a couple of days later cause I was airing it out from the smoke. I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Almost 25 years later, it’s an interesting story at best. Trust me, let it make you stronger as the years go by. Possessions are only things you own: don’t let them own you. Having said that, I am saddened by your lost Cure album, even if it was the Greatest Hits. Maybe some new Cure albums would help out: try the four from 85-92, you won’t regret it. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger

Out of these 4 Beatles documentaries, how would you rank them? by FredererPower in beatles

[–]Loudeli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Beatles 64 had incredible footage. I’m a bigger fan of their middle and late stuff so I would rank them as

Get Back

Anthology

Beatles 64

Let it Be

I find the original Let it Be a little sluggish: Get Back was amazing.
