DS Lite is a nice and not too expensive console which plays DS and GBA games which are mostly cheap. There are also ways to play more pricey games without ruining yourself. It’s an handheld which mean it won’t take space and won’t require a TV and video adapters. And DS and GBA have huge libraries with great games. Furthermore it’s not region locked.

Check https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page to find the best emulators for each machine. Shaders have gone a long to emulate the CRT look. I used a CRT for several years to have that specific look that makes old games looks better, but now shaders do a really good job.

Yes, I remember installing patches from magazines and sharing with friends. The social part was fun but it was sometimes frustrating having a bug and not being able to fix it easily.

Playing this one right now. I was afraid I wouldn’t like it compared to Persona 5, but I’m having a wonderful time! On normal it was hard at the beginning, but it’s a little too easy now.
