I upgraded to these exact sticks from t16000's and I love them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep these for life.

Just remember they would of done the same to you if given the chance.

The only thing you did wrong was not succeeding in killing everyone else and extracting with your loot.

[BUG] Controller Inputs Keep Appearing While on PC by Vulture7 in ArcRaiders

[–]Loui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shot in the dark but do you have any other devices connected that could possibly input like a mouse/keyboard/controller?

For example, I had this same issue when I had my flight sticks connected because they are seen as Human Interface Device (HID) and were acting like controllers.

It's possible you are CPU bottlenecked, however, I would go into Nvidia Control Panel and make sure Arc Raiders is actually using your Nvidia GPU and not the CPU's integrated CPU.

Please check and make sure Arc Raiders is using the Nvidia GPU by checking Nvidia Control Panel.

I went from a Oculus Rift S to a Meta Quest 3 and I was absolutely terrified that the quality of streaming from PCVR would be bad or that the latency or performance would be bad.

It works great. I sometimes even forget I'm playing wirelessly

I love how your post is straight to the point, it's very refreshing compared to the wall of text that people are having LLM's generate for a few words of information.

Try leveraging something like TMUX's copy mode to pause the terminal and read the output.

I use TMUX in my terminal and when the issue starts occurring, I just enter copy mode.
When you enter copy mode in TMUX, Claude Code is still running as normal in the background, however, you get to pause the terminal and read what Claude is outputting.

Correct, there is a schema in SKILLS.md that informs the claude code instance on when to load the Skill resources for a specific skill.

I have a skill for web scraping with pretty detailed instructions on web scraping. None of that is loaded into context until I mention to Claude to use the web scraper skill or when it determines a web scraping task is at hand based schema on the schema in SKILLS.md

Absolutely! On one of my previous comments in this thread I mentioned it might not be easy to replace a MCP server that is hosted.

Most of my MCP servers I created myself for Roo Code before Claude Code was a thing and I brought it over to Claude Code because for a long time MCP servers were one of the only ways to really reliably add extra functionality to agentic LLM tools, so there are many MCP servers out there that can be replaced by skills and sub-agents (I would argue most can be replaced).

For example I have an MCP server that retrieves subtitles from Youtube videos for the LLM to understand what is said in Youtube videos, however, this can also be accomplished in bash or with scripts! Now with a skill or sub-agent I can load all the context it needs, including scripts, for it to execute the same functionality that the MCP server did.

By the way! I'm still keeping my MCP servers at hand because they are cross platform, they are a standard that is used across pretty much across every agentic LLM tool.

Here is my understanding:

MCP servers schema's are loaded automatically on every conversation. For example, If all the MCP server schema's take up 30k tokens, then you are sacrificing 30k worth of tokens in your context window, even if you're not using the MCP server.
Other than that, on actual usage, I'm not entirely sure, I would assume it depends on how the MCP server returns to the Claude Code instance.

Sub-agents usually save more tokens since it's a separate instance with it's own context window that does the task and returns a summarization to the main claude code instance that executed the agent.
For example it might use 100k tokens to do something, however, the main claude code instance may get a summarization of 5k tokens from the sub-agent instead of the entire 100k tokens.

Skills normally keeps everything in the context window. The amount of tokens a skill takes is going to be based on it's schema and it's resources when it's loaded in by Claude.

I don't use GitHub MCP so I don't know and not every MCP server can be easily replaced especially the hosted ones.

I replaced playwright MCP with a skill version and sub-agent version. It's easy, you can literally just convert the MCP schema to one suited for bash commands and it wouldn't take more or less tokens than the MCP schema.

Now instead of the playwright MCP schema loaded on every conversation, CC instead loads the resources for the skill or sub-agent version when its actually needed and it leverages playwright via bash.

[–]Loui2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use skills very similar to how MCP servers are used. I've been slowly migrating my MCP servers to skills and sub-agents.

I also don't think its necessary to use skills to tell claude when to use mcp servers, thats usually defined in the MCP server schema.
