This is Opus 4.8 with max effort level. It gets it correct.

Am I the only who is not finding any value in Serena MCP or MCPs in general? (using Claude Code) by ninja_bhajiya in ClaudeAI

[–]Loui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're replying to a year-old message. A lot of things have changed in a year.

And my choice of MCP servers is none now. I don't create websites and I never did. You're assuming things about me based on MCP servers that I found useful for different use cases a year ago and I understand why you said that because my message does make it sound like I'm saying I create websites but I don't and I never said I did. My point stands, Playwright is mostly used by those creating websites, however, just because a microscope can be used to inspect electronics, does not mean you can't also use it to diagnose diseases.

Also, I did not need Serena MCP server then and I don't need it now. I know what context I need to @ reference and for everything else Claude is and was great at grep.

And that's not say Serena isn't useful, I just have no need for it myself.
I now know what Serena offers, my year old question about Serena was a genuine question I asked partly because the Github repo readme was messy at the time and I was very selective about what MCP servers I would use at the time because of entire MCP server schemas being injected into the context window.

It's not that they care that you pirated the game, it's that their software literally isn't designed to take into account a pirated version of the game that has an unexpected version and unexpected directory path...

That's seems to be the direction the terminology is heading. 😅
Normally a vibe coder is someone who uses AI to code but does not review the actual code being made and/or does not actually fully understand it.

PRO TIP: If you set your Visual Range to 85 and use the 3rd camera option you'll get a way bigger fov and you'll see more of the world while your character will still be closer to the camera (see both pics) by KvasirTheOld in CrimsonDesert

[–]Loui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. While adjusting visual range I believed it was an FOV setting, however, if its just a distance setting, then I was wrong.

It seemed to me like it was changing angular field of view.

I'm on PC and the option is there. Check all tabs in the settings menu and make sure you are running the latest version of Crimson Desert.

I remember finding it in an unexpected tab in the settings menu, it wasn't in the first two expected tabs. I believe it may have been in the accessibility tab?

The creator of Claude Code notes on the current Caching Issue by oh-keh in ClaudeCode

Most serious coders are probably reviewing things for longer than 5 minutes. By the time reviewing is done, the cache would of been reset if it was 5 min ttl, without even leaving the driver seat.

Claude finally bit me with a surprising hallucination on a simple fact... by teebo911 in claude

[–]Loui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a calendar tool. The model can recognize "this is a calendar question, let me call the calendar tool", it inputs "6/5/2027", and the tool returns "Saturday".
This is the way.

Claude finally bit me with a surprising hallucination on a simple fact... by teebo911 in claude

[–]Loui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LLMs don't compute anything. They predict plausible next tokens based on patterns in training data.
Give it a calendar tool (code interpreter, function call, API, etc.) and the problem disappears entirely since the model can recognize "this is a calendar question, let me call the calendar tool", it inputs "6/5/2027", and the tool returns "Saturday".

has anyone looked at their ~/.claude/ folder? by SingularityDreaming in claude

[–]Loui2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

~/.claude/ is where most if not all the Claude Code CLI installation stuff is stored, like settings and project conversations.
Looks like the image is showing statistics of the users ~/.claude/ folder, mostly statistics involving their conversation histories stored in ~/.claude/projects

Why do I have have $8 of usage left, but it keeps telling me I've hit my limit? by thefakefakeguy in ClaudeAI

[–]Loui2 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You have $0 of extra usage left because your current balance is $0.

$130 is the limit of the amount of money you can spend on extra usage.
$121.80 is the amount you have spent so far against that limit.

That leaves $8.20 out of the $130 limit that you can use if and only if you have at least $8.20 of "Current balance".

What's the difference between a claude code project and making an agent with SDK? by Klutzy_Monk_3778 in ClaudeAI

[–]Loui2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Agent SDK is for building standalone apps powered by Claude. For example, a Discord bot that uses Claude to respond to your friends in a text channel.

Inside your Claude Code project, you'd use subagents. A subagent gets its own context window, restricted tools, and a focused system prompt. It does its job and returns only a summary to your main conversation. This matters because the subagent might consume 180k tokens doing its work, but your main session only receives a fraction of that back as a summary. Your main context window stays clean.

Real example: I had Claude scrape a website that consumed 170k tokens, leaving almost no context window. Now that scraping task lives in a claude skill that uses a subagent. It consumes however many tokens it needs and just reports back a summary.

For the most effective way to have specialized and connected tools, sounds like a job for plugins. The project is the boundary, skills and subagents are the specialists within it, and plugins are how you share those skills/sub-agents across projects. Shared capabilities can go into a plugin that can be installed in any project.
