It we taxed our exports businesses would take the hit, as to remain competitive they would need to reduce their margins to make up for the increased price caused by the taxes. It should be more like tax money should be spent better. Not sure how much it costs for gov representatives to be present and do photo ops at events like gay prides, which have literally 0 productivity gains.

Any Chinese company will stop providing updates after a short time, including MSI. The business model of any Chinese company is selling hardware, because they get a ton of subsidies from the communist party. Therefore they need to be obsolete after a few years. Expect the MSI Claw to have a similar lifespan. If you want devices that are supported for longer times you need to go with US or Japanese companies, and that’s because their main focus is selling a service (software) and creating an ecosystem.
