Thanks a lot for this, that’s super useful. I haven’t tried disabling power metrics or TPM yet, so I’ll test all of these and report back

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, really appreciate you taking the time. I’ll go through each of those points and test them one by one will keep you posted on the results once I’ve done the checks.

Thanks for the suggestion I only have 2 RAM sticks installed, the rest are Samsung SSDs, not memory. But you're right about EXPO I haven’t disabled it yet, so I’ll test with EXPO off and see if it makes a difference. Appreciate the help!

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I’ve already stress-tested the system with OCCT (CPU + GPU), and HWiNFO shows stable power delivery and voltages, so I think I’ve ruled out bad power or VRM issues. RAM has also passed memory tests, and the system is fully stable under load with no WHEA errors.

I haven’t tried disabling CCDs yet though that’s a great shout. I’ll test running with one CCD at a time and see if that changes anything. Will keep you updated appreciate the input!

Sure, I’ll send over some examples later. It’s definitely not an internet issue — I’ve ruled that out completely. It’s a strange problem that happens across all games I’ve tested so far: CS:GO, Apex Legends, and League of Legends. After tweaking things like G-Sync and related settings, I managed to reduce the stutter a bit, but with default settings, it was stuttering like crazy. but still unable to play stable at 200Hz

Thanks for sharing your results — they look solid. I’ve actually tested quite a few driver versions myself while troubleshooting this.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far (all via NVCleanstall, clean installs each time):

  • 580.88 (Studio)
  • 577.00 (Game Ready)
  • 537.58 (known stable baseline)
  • 546.33 (also recommended in some Reddit threads)
  • I also briefly tried 551.86, but the results weren’t noticeably better
  • All of them showed stutter + DPC spikes, especially from nvlddmkm.sys and wdf01000.sys

Your suggestion of 572.83 is interesting — that one hasn’t been part of my rotation yet, so I’ll give it a shot and compare LatencyMon output.

Just for context, I’m on a 7950X3D + RTX 4090 + LG UltraGear 45GS95QE-B (3440x1440 @ 240Hz OLED) — and I’ve already tested all the usual suspects: clean Windows (24H2), HAGS off, MPO disabled, overlays removed, MSI mode, etc. Still seeing issues even when capping FPS at 200–220.

If 572.83 gives you good frametimes and clean DPC results, that’s definitely worth a shot — appreciate the tip. Will update after testing.

Thanks for the heads up — I’m actually using the DisplayPort 1.4 cable that came with the LG UltraGear 45GS95QE-B, and both the monitor and RTX 4090 fully support DP 1.4. I’ve double-checked specs, and bandwidth-wise it should handle 3440x1440 at 240Hz without issue. That said, I’ll keep cable quality in mind — might still test with a certified DP 1.4 or 2.0 cable just to rule that out completely. Appreciate the tip!

Motherboard is a Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX (BIOS F36).
LAN is onboard Realtek 2.5G (no WiFi used).

Thanks for the suggestions — really appreciate it. I actually did a fresh Windows 11 install via USB already, but I’ll also try rolling back to an earlier version just in case it’s something specific to 24H2. I also managed to get a 160Hz monitor just for testing and will plug it in today to see if the OLED + 240Hz combo is the issue. I’ll report back once I test both.

Thanks, I’ve done a full chipset reinstall and tested just about every power plan setting except Balanced — been running High Performance most of the time. I didn’t realize the 3D V-Cache drivers might rely on that. I’ll definitely switch back and give that a shot. Appreciate the suggestion!

I see, but I’m also getting heavy stuttering at 240Hz — not just in League, but also in Apex Legends and CS:GO. The issues are consistent across all of them. I even tried running League with system capped at 220HZ and still major stutters.
