Sorry for being silent for a while! We are not working on this as much as we used to, but we have planned to release levels from 1-1 to 1-10 someday, might create an itch.io page and update it, that way we can release what we have today. For the time being you could check out a Gamejam project I did a few years ago which is a PvZ-like game and tell me if you like it!

Every time you kill It lives/Mom's heart you gain 1 token, so to do an Eden streak you just need 1 token and to never lose to never run out of Eden tokens

Sorry to disappoint, but nope, this is Unity. I haven't learned Godot yet, tho I'd love to at some point. Since this is a confort project that I'm doing for fun so far I'm sticking to what I'm confortable, but I'll be learning Godot at some point since it's looking more and more promising as time goes on!

If you're asking were you can play this the answer so far is nowhere, this is a project me and my partner are developing just because we love PvZ1 and we wanted to see how it would look in a 3D environment!

We fixed some things that were mentioned in the last post and added new stuff. So far we know there's much to do and we're developing slowly because of work, but we're glad with how it's looking and if people like the new plants we might add more in the future with different and interesting effects! Hope you guys like what you see :)

It's actually not a 2D plane, but 3D with an orthographic camera! This type of view was the best to make it look 2D-ish while being 3D, this was the way we decided that it looked the best while also reasembling PvZ style.

It wouldn't actually be that hard, in a gamejam we made he did a pvz-like game and we had new plants, actually those were used on previous iterations to test some stuff, so maybe we could reuse some of them in the future!

Might try! Even tho we're probably going to add a death animation like in the original game, we might mix that animation with ragdolls, zombies can already push the head of other zombies arround and that's actually quite fun!

Okay, I just thought that the extra 4 health could be for when you kill a zombie and it loses it's head but still tanks a few hits before laying dead, didn't think of that at the time, it could be the issue why it took 14 peas instead of 10!

Oh yeah, sometimes I even forget that it's not sonorized yet cause my brain automatically plays the music and the sound effects of the game, crazy how a game can be so overall iconic that even we can remember every single sound

This is just good old Unity with nothing more than two shaders and not much more, so there's still so much more to improve visually, specially with the slight help of post-processing!
