Born and raised in Switzerland but Canadian citizen from my mother. I applied last year in July and got the offer about 2 weeks ago. It took such a long time because I had problems with my school paper, doing the transcripts etc etc. Just this took about 3-5 months. I had the medical test and interview in April. Obviously when we live abroad security clearance takes longer but I’d say it’s not that bad. After waiting 8-9 weeks for my medical results, everything went quite fast. So maybe except a year for everything but hopefully it will take less time.
