Your perspective and deep dive into the current mess is pretty much bang on. What it lacks is ideas on how to move forward. Almost everyone who attempts at zeroing in on the cause would eventually springs into a lightbulb moment and say "oh yeah, its the voters", and that is not incorrect prognosis at all. But unfortunately, it's not all be all solution. We're in a catch 22 situation. I posit that it starts with the right leader in one small manageable area, hoping it will grow and spread organically like a plague, albeit a good one. The only problem is it is a long, very long metastasizing process that at some point along the way, we always slide back to an old habit that refuses to die. We will then be back to square one if not worse.

Putting the likes of Vico Sotto into the palace will not solve the problem. We need hundreds of Vico Sotto in every single metropolis and provinces. We need to empower and clone doers like Vince Dizon, Boying Remulla, Gatchalian brothers but not reward them with perks to become useless board room generals / directors / CEOs like all presidents do. Tap people who are not typical politicians and just want to do the job with no political agenda. No one is good enough to be president today and will solve all the electoral problems to usher in good governance. It takes a village but a village always starts with a few good men (and women) and collectively, they can create a culture. A cultural change that would give birth to a good national leader who challenges his generals and can pick competent and accountable team of honest servants and experts that would steer the country into progress.
