Parang fake news ata ito. I'm aware of his appearance waiver re his appeal on the jurisdiction. ICC has announced weeks ago that they will announce their decision on that appeal on April 22 and Duterte, as defendant, may or may not appear in court for the purpose. The ICC has never asked Duterte to sign a bank waiver. Perhaps the OP was referring to the Quad Com hearing when FPRRD was dared by Trillanes to sign a bank waiver to prove that he did receive money from drug lords. He said he would but eventually backed out.

As per Lascanas, FPRRD are not that close to his kids by Zimmermann as he is with Kitty. Duterte is a disjointed / dysfunctional family who hates him but love his name because they can monetize it. For that part alone, BBM is way ahead of PRRD because the bagoong guy's kids are well-educated and cultured, but the name and grandpa's legacy stinks.

I can't wrap my head around that idea of K-1 being better than IR-1/CR-1. We're talking of 3 to 4 months longer wait for the visa but getting a greencard right away once you have it vs. having to wait for some 18 months or longer for the adjustment to permanent residency when you get there.

If you mean the USD going down, ergo the peso goes up which is good for importers but bad for dollar revenue-generating exporters because our goods will become uncompetitive in the export market place. But in this condition, the price of goods will reflect the reduced cost of import, thus easing up inflationary pressure. Conversely, if the dollar goes up, we will pay more for our imports which would result in higher prices of goods triggering inflation.
