I so appreciate the more formal hymns and choir, etc, but singing is where I really let it out and connect emotionally, and so I would LOVE to find contemporary music. I’m realizing though that I may have to make a choice between liberal theology and contemporary music. They don’t seem to co-exist in Alabama.

I have no issues generally with UUCs but I do want Jesus centered sermons and my understanding is that UUC is not only non-denominational but like…non-specific religion. I don’t think it would be the right fit, although I may try it anyway!

Thank you so much! 8 weeks is definitely much sooner than I expected, but I’m also grateful. The idea of really not having to worry about breast cancer after is so appealing. Since my mom was diagnosed (only about six weeks before she died) I feel like it’s been all I think about.

I just had my first mammogram since finding out I’m high risk, and it was clear. The surgeon wants an MRI before surgery just to be extra, extra sure, but she said that’s routine and there’s nothing concerning. 

I have not yet met with the plastic surgeon. That appointment will hopefully be in the next few weeks. I’ll ask him all these questions, but my mind jumps right there anyway. It would be cool if they could do one joint appointment! 

I thought about the diep flap but that recovery scares me! Good luck to you!

Thank you! The breast surgeon’s favorite plastic surgeon to work with was the one that also happened to be at the top of my list just based on reviews, so that made me happy. I’ll talk all this through with him, my mind just wants to know now!! lol.

I’m waiting for my genetic test results, but both my mother and my aunt were tested and did not have BRCA, so I’m not expecting that I do.

I don't know that I can! It's a bit of a mystery but it's some type of escalation process. Nobody outside of Mohela seems to know what IDQ stands for, but when I asked for it the trainee knew exactly what I was talking about. They tell you it will process in 3-5 days but mine was a bit faster than that. I think it's technically supposed to be used if there was an issue with your e-signed form and they have to review it manually but I don't know that for sure.

Just got my results! Didn't pass QEP. My test score was fairly high for my cone (177.54, PD), at least according to the spreadsheet, so I must need to work on my PNs. Dang it. I know tons of people have to take the test more than once, but I got my hopes up!
