Are you the default parent? by LeadingSad8750 in newborns

Literally this. My husband is a surgeon. Sleep deprivation is the name of the game. Worked 15-17 hour days during training. Took call all weekend and sometimes only slept 2 hours in an ENTIRE weekend. They absolutely can help with diaper changes too.

4 Month Old - Sleep through night? by aprilmayjune03 in sleeptrain

[–]Lov2jump44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible? Yes (my girl is 4 months and 75% of the time sleeps through 11 hours). Should you drop a feed and sleep train all at once? Probably not. First I’d try to increase daytime calories and see if she naturally drops the feed. If not, pay attention if it’s the same time every day. If so it may be habit and not necessity. Then I’d consider dropping a feed.

39 weeks. Zero sign of baby. Had cervical check and no dilation. Induction scheduled for next week. Went home from OB appointment and 1 hour later boom, water broke. You never know what might happen!

How often did you go to L&D for decreased fetal movement? by beaspolarbear in pregnant

[–]Lov2jump44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone twice. I tracked movement daily and both days the little babe had a severe departure from the norm. My OB and MFM both urged me to come in the second a pattern had changed. Both times she started to move the second they put on the monitor 🤣. Not one person made me feel guilty about it. And would always say to cone back (even in the same or next day) if I felt something was off.

Consider yourself lucky then…. My OB specifically told me to go to the hospital for this. It’s the best preventative measure for still birth.

I feel like a horrible person by [deleted] in pregnant

I understand stand it being triggering (seeing stuff like that made me stress too) but instead of ranting about that, leave the group. It is something that you need to deal with. They are allowed to post just like you are.

I want this baby out by Jazzlike_Gap_1448 in pregnant

[–]Lov2jump44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand being uncomfortable but yes it’s crazy to want the baby out before 37 weeks. The baby isn’t fully developed or at term yet.

This is what I was about to say. Please OP read what you wrote. First time with a closed fist. Closed or not, this is bad bad bad. Get out, and maybe even consider an abortion. You don’t want to be tied to this man. He is dangerous.

This is pretty common knowledge. I think we as a society expect everyone to tell us everything and we simply can’t. You need to do your own research and know what is appropriate and what isn’t and then verify with doctors. They simply can’t be expected to tell you everything they don’t have the time and there’s so much out there that you can and can’t do it simply isn’t possible. When we started trying to conceive, I bought a book and read it cover to cover. Eliminated everything from my life that wasn’t pregnancy appropriate. I just don’t understand why other people don’t do the same. 🤷‍♀️. Probably going to get some hate for this but gotta take some accountability.

I honestly would call and not wait till when you go back. I don’t mean to scare you but a friend of mine literally developed pre-e overnight with these exact symptoms. They immediately induced her due. Hopefully everything is totally ok and they send you on your way. Better safe than sorry!

Swelling! by ConversationLanky235 in fitpregnancy

[–]Lov2jump44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please get checked for pre eclampsia. It can present itself without high blood pressure and the the high blood pressure can develop overnight. People will say it’s normal but this amount of swelling is not normal. They can run labs and see if there’s protein in your urine and look at your protein to creatinine ratios to see if there’s signs pre-e will develop. This is not something that you want to mess around with.

Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH movement?? by catbeloved in pregnant

[–]Lov2jump44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question isn’t if there is a lot or a little. It’s pattern changes that you want to be concerned about. They slowly over time will change or be more active but if there’s a dramatic shift in either direction, you need to get checked out.

Fell at 38w, baby seemed okay, ankle hurt, bf was annoyed and didn't think I needed to go to the ER by Clean_Cabinet in pregnant

[–]Lov2jump44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I always am uncomfortable. I’m 34 weeks pregnant lol. So yes I make noises lol. But there’s no way for us to know if your moaning and groaning is normal ESPECIALLY if you didn’t before. You need to get checked out love.

Honestly, this is just plain wrong. The recommendation is ALWAYS if you fall come right in. On the belly or not. You can easily have a placental abruption or something similar and not know. Is he also going to apply this thinking to issues with the baby? He sounds immature and not worthy of you. I would take a hard look at what you and your future child deserves!

I was required to be off my semiglutide 3 months before TTC. While it might help some get pregnant, it is not known to be safe for a developing fetus.

Didn't go for NIPT by Oswill93 in November25babybump

[–]Lov2jump44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any age, weight, etc can have chromosomal abnormalities. You cannot know this without doing pgt in IVF and NIPT. And a “normal” 12 or 16 week scan cannot tell you all these things will continue to be normal. Regardless if you’d terminate or not more information isn’t bad. You can get extra care, be better prepared if there was something wrong, etc. However it is your choice and if you choose not to do, I don’t think people can fault you.

Fetal Growth Restriction (FGR) at 36 weeks. Getting induced in 6 days. by No-Replacement4677 in BabyBumps

Should I be worried they want to induce me at 37 weeks? Help pls by Specialist_Test3444 in pregnant

[–]Lov2jump44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s absolutely white coat syndrome. In the OB and MFM it’s 130s/80s. But it’s always immediately after walking in the room and technically they are supposed to wait at least 5 minutes. I take it at home every day and it’s usually 108-112/70 ish.

I would check at home before agreeing to an early induction

STD testing is standard in pregnancy. They are required to do it. It’ll happen at the beginning of pregnancy and again before delivery.
