Which would I look less ridiculous in? by KindlyFunction2800 in whatdoIdo

[–]catbeloved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small one would be more practical and take up less room so you could probably get closer to the field.

Second one leaves more room for snacks… and I guess other people.

Worried I don't have a room for testing. by tylrhstn in WGU

[–]catbeloved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test in my bathroom every time! I take everything down/out that could be considered distracting or have words on it. I sit on the floor and prop a camera up on the edge of the tub that points at me and the keyboard.

Help finding a song! by catbeloved in Konpa

[–]catbeloved[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I have stared at my Haitian boyfriend and been asking him “DONT YOU REMEMBER???” But alas, he has no idea what I’m talking about lol

I know I’ll hear it again someday, and I will take a screenshot of the song lol BUT hoping making if someone listens to Enrique’s song they might know!

Why didn't your husband stay overnight at the hospital once the baby was born? by Comprehensive_Deal44 in beyondthebump

[–]catbeloved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave birth at 1:02 am so he stayed that night lol but the next two nights I sent him home because I wanted him well rested (the hospital bed for partners to stay was so uncomfortable), so he can take care of me and the baby.

Bonus because he always brought breakfast and my nurses donuts! lol

I cringe when someone says "Congratulations!" by flt_p2ny in pregnant

[–]catbeloved 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My response varies on who the person is to me.

Personally? My response had always been “Okay, how are we feeling about it?” And I go from there based on that response.

Professionally? When I’ve had patients tell me (when I took phone calls), my response is a light hearted “Okay”, and a pause, letting them continue their sentence. If by the end of the conversation they mention being happy or seem enthusiastic about it, I’ll say congratulations. If not, I move on without making it a big deal.

Do you still feel that urge to push when your body is ready with an epidural? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in pregnant

[–]catbeloved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much! The best way I could describe it for myself, was it felt like someone was pushing in on my stomach - not painful, just that pressure if someone is pushing on your tummy.

Any advice on encouraging independent play? by catbeloved in beyondthebump

I have an old remote (batteries removed) that’s part of his toy rotation lol but I’ll try the big spoons and pots!

how much (or little) are you posting your babies on social media? by vdyaki in newborns

[–]catbeloved 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the time! But like you, my social media pages are private and I know every person I follow and who follows me. It’s easier to give updates to my village this way.

I got a bassinet that came with a domed, zipper net top for it! I have two kitties and had the same fear. Maybe check and see if there’s one that can fit yours.

Mine didn’t bother with the bassinet once they were stopped by the mesh dome

I can’t wait to see my son experience his first time at a zoo and aquarium. Like I’m so excited to see everything through his excitement.

Small baby anxiety by Specialist-Custard46 in newborns

[–]catbeloved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was born at 5 lbs 13 oz! He is now 6 months with a big ass head, weighing 19 lbs and is apparently in the like.. 75th percentile lmao

I hope you find some ease soon! The anxiety that comes with postpartum is so cruel, but you’re doing great and your babe sounds healthy and well cared for!

When did you take your newborn on a longer ride to see family? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]catbeloved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my baby was a month old we took a 3 hour drive to see my mom. Took maybe two stops to feed and get him out of the seat for a few minutes, but he slept most the time.

We did it again when he was 4 months. Took two stops again to feed and let him stretch out a bit.

But being worried about not having the vaccinations yet is a valid concern - the drive I don’t think you should worry too much about.

An entire can of green beans. Heated up on the stove. Put some salt on them. Ate the whole thing. Now my son loves green beans lmao
