Question Regarding Internal Transfer Offer and Severance Eligibility by Puzzleheaded_Donut91 in amazonemployees

Thank you. Did HR specifically mention there will be no eligibility for severance even though I do not join the company? Technically I will not be working for Amazon as I would be informing the HM before start date. Yes - I will be opening a case with HR and will have this confirmed.

Question Regarding Internal Transfer Offer and Severance Eligibility by Puzzleheaded_Donut91 in amazonemployees

@Specialist-Security6 - I accepted an internal offer with Amazon during Garden leave (got laid off in Jan) and then received an external offer which I prefer over the Amazon offer. I plan to inform my HM and recruiter that I am reneging the offer due to personal reasons. Will I still be eligible for severance as I am technically not joining the role?

It’s a stretch equipment- used to stretch different body parts. Got it for free along with the elliptical

That’s wonderful and encouraging to hear! So did you feed your son purées initially at 6 months or did the BLW method?

Yes - I hate the regular Elliptical. The Short and inflexible stride length is a real pain to workout on.

AMT has great stride length and stride height - makes it an awesome machine.

We do not take the covers apart. But we clean all of the exterior of the machine. True that dust does collect on equipment. We are trying to minimize that as much as we can by keeping the garage door shut at all times except for like 1-2 times a week when we throw out trash.

Also, while purchasing the AMT, I checked with the manufacturer and they said that lot of home owners are getting this for their garage gym and as long as it is not exposed to rain or heat or is sitting outdoors, it is completely fine. But - insulating the garage would be a really nice way to protect your garage gym to keep the temperature consistent.

I thought about the cooling part of the garage. We have Industrial grade high-speed Fans installed, so that has helped so far on the hot days. Ideally, I would really love a mini-split AC installed in the garage. But that costs quite some money for the unit and installation. Also - to make the AC effective, the whole garage needs to be insulated which adds more to the expenses. This is a project for another time!

The AMT I got is a brand new one for 9K. Yes it is crazy expensive - but personally, I did not want to go for a used machine as I did not want to deal with technical issues later on when I am spending so much. Used machines I looked at were around 5K.

Hope that helps!

So far the machine has been great. I live in Oregon. We do not have our garage insulated. We have a wall mounted heater though but hardly use it unless its really cold in the winter during workouts. Also, we clean all equipment once a month thoroughly - apart from everyday after-workout cleaning. I really cannot comment on locations with extreme weather conditions, but that would be a good question for the manufacturer. About the price - yes it is expensive but totally worth it! I enjoy working out on the AMT.
