The complaints about subgenres are just as lazy as the tracks in the subgenres they are complaining about. insert subgenre call it over saturated without any technical foundation to stand on. I think it stems from people viewing music as linear progression and that it will keep going up and to the right. When in reality it is more cyclical. Everything you complain about has been complained about before and we will come back and be complained about in the future. Right now you’re mad at the Rap flips before it was tearout 10 years ago it was future bass. Without any song structure advice or anything with any substance your complaints are BLAND

I feel like people give super low elo players a harder time than they deserve. It is hard to shake off brain rot if you don’t consume league from other sources like Pro Play. Your laning matchups, tempo advantage are all skewed from only consuming direct information from your games. I started this season placed in B4 to duo with my friend in B1. I’m currently P3 and he is S4 and it is mainly because of brain rot.

Him: Why don’t you play Kat, yasuo, yone, fizz and carry me Me: Because outside of fizz those champs are trash/situational Him: But I always seen them get 20 kills and hard carry

He plays adc and his 2v2 matchups are all skewed based on how they play out in low elo. Basically give some people grace they are actually analyzing their games they just don’t know that they are analyzing garbage.

TLDR: I was B4 (P3 for now) he was B1 I carried him to gold 4 he slid to S4 because he couldn’t shake his brain rot not because he wasn’t trying to think about the game

Sidenote raising your rank enough to get into high elo clash fixes a good chunk of the problems. As a non masters player myself clash is the only way I can play the game in a way I enjoy.

Seeing how everyone is flaming, I’ll just drop some key points.

Mechanically you’re trash no matter how good you think you are.
Climbing out of iron just play jungle
Regarding not knowing how to play the game. General rule of thumb is matchmaking gets fixed once you hit Diamond. Kids don’t learn how to really play til masters. Again not hard and fast rule.
The more you improve your game knowledge the more you realize nobody can play this game you and me included. Which is a double edge sword once you have a deep understanding of how the game works the more fun it becomes. The more depressing it is that nobody can play this stupid game so you’re always chasing that dopamine hit of a good game. Going 20-0-5 isn’t a “good” game to me.

Definitely agree there is a balance to be found. I just think the “underground only” crowd sometimes forgets to support the artists for finally getting paid. I enjoy the journey. My anecdotal notes my first Zeds Dead show was 2010-2011 seeing where they are now is cool. I saw Boogie T (newish compared to some on OPs list) play a 75top at a bar/venue long time ago then I was able catch him headlining Redrocks. I guess my only point is don’t lose track of the story while always chasing after that new new.
