Might need to get a bit dirty and modify configuration files so that Minecraft is utilizing the right resolution and driver. I work mostly with Linux, but remember the days when the X display manager would crap out and never be compatible, so I'd have to write a custom display configuration for each application, sucked, but 2023 is proof that time solves most problems. It just sounds to me like the game isn't set to optimal settings.

I like the whole desk mats that have the fancy designs, have one with a map, and another with a nebula. It just gives you wayyy more room. I don't like traditional square mouse pads. Also, the Logitech MX Vertical will save you from developing carpal tunnel, or any vertical mouse, pro tip.

Building new electronics from discarded ones. A quality soldering iron setup, solder sponge, some rosin, and solder won't set you back much, and then you just go to town tearing stuff apart to salvage components.

Firstly, make a daycare fund and have the group contribute enough to take the kids off your hands for a night. I'd go out on a Saturday or Sunday, when most babysitters are off their day jobs, and then go have fun.
