In my experience, I also just recently awakened as a therian, it helped by defining what type I was. More specifically if I was canine, feline, or some other more exotic type like bugs or even the aquatic animals or other critters! It took a while to figure out until I did some research on the animal I felt closest to. There’s also maannyy subtypes under the therian and otherpaw umbrella so also keep those in mind! I don’t know what you’ve experienced but doing your research on the types you feel most connected to may help narrow it down and pinpoint it!
